I am a Scorpio and she is a Gemini one day while just browsing I just checked for the compatibility and bang! Scorpio and Gemini are not compatible - not one bit. And they always breakup, some PHD's have done studies on that as well to collect stats.

It got me wondering if it's actually true? Can people here share their's and their ex's sun signs - statistics helps in selecting the next person you invest in emotionally.

Most people break up.

And or.

Cheat.

As Onyx said, most relationships don't work out. Zodiac signs have nothing to do with it.

Signs that are not right for each other just make it a bit harder, makes arguments more likely due to certain traits but incompatible signs can work. My mum and Dad are incompatible star sign wise but been married 45 years.

I do think you tend to stereotype. I am guilty of that.

Examples:

' My ex was a 'pisces' I wont date another 'pisces' as I dont get on with them.

Or 'One ex was great fun, he was a Scorpio. I musy find another Scorpio to date.

Some aspects do ring true but some dont. There will Pisces you are compatible with and Scorpios that will be boring.

Joking aside. I do like Scorpio men. So I think it is more right than wrong :) but I wouldnt tahe it to the extreme and would date somebody if we got on regardless of their star sign.

I have found that in many cases astrologers have the traits of certain signs pegged pretty well, in a general way. However, how two different people get along has a whole lot more to do with things other than star signs. A stronger influence is family background, education, open mindedness, things in common, sense of humor, maturity, etc. Anybody who refuses to date someone because of their sign is a taco short of a combination platter.

i used to believe in star signs too, not so much anymore.

i'm saggi, and according to the signs, saggis and geminis are a perfect match. plus, i also know the chinese zodiac, i'm a rabbit, and rabbits and oxen are supposedly awesome together too.

my latest two exes - both geminis, both oxen, both major as*holes.

so nope, not going to believe in it anymore.

in general though, no offense to anyone, i am steering clear of geminis altogether. my friends and i have too many scary experience of dating geminis who turned out to be self-absorbed and egoistical douchebags (to put it kindly). (:

I think signs does play a small part in the compatibility level... But it's really more to the person themselves whether they wanna make it work...

I'm a Leo and my recent ex is an Aries... Love compatibility wise, it's said to be almost a perfect match from heaven... But still ended up being apart...

I really gave this some thought too as a few exs have been the wrong star sign for me and it got me looking into it... however, I came to the realisation of one thing:

There are roughly 6.8 billion people in the world. There are 12 star signs. That means roughly 560 million people share the same sign. So therefore just because at one time two people don't match and they're star signs also don't match, that's 2 people out of 6.8 billion.

Basically, whenever I read star signs (which isn't often) there can be the odd thing that springs up. Something that seems to relate to my life in some way. But if star signs were true and all that, then surely there would be 560 million people thinking the same thing?

For example: my recent ex, I had a chance to talk to her before it all went south, yet I didn't say what I wanted to say. Hours later I read in a newspaper my starsign which said "being honest with a loved one takes a relationship into a whole new dimension". Now yes, that really annoyed me. I was kicking myself, but looking at the whole thing of trying to predict events, it's very easy to get it right occasionally when you're audience is 560 million people.

Final example - to all Aquarius' out there, tomorrow you will have a phone call from someone you haven't heard from in many years. Now there's a very good chance that quite a few people out of 560 million will have that event happen... does that mean I've read the stars and can predict events? No, it means I took a guess and aimed it at the largest audience possible.

Long rant I know, but I hate when people base their lives off the 'opinions' of total strangers.

I don't really believe in all that but my ex. did. Shortly after we met she told me about this Indian Zodaic chart that matches people for friends, lovers, long term mate/s etc.

There was alot of questions so she needed/wanted to know my birthdate, month, time, what state, mothers last name etc.etc.

Later that day she calls me all HAPPY saying she ran the chart and WE scored very high, somewhere around 80% which was high for this chart, sometime later she told me that she ran the same chart with her ex. when they were together but they only scored around 40% and she knew he wasn't right for her.

Well a year later she dumps me to go back to him,,so much for that crap,, I only wished I would of remembered to remind her of that (because she believed in it so much) the last time I spoke with her.
