choppedkittens Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) Anyone else find him gross? He's gorgeous, but that's the only thing he has going for him. He's dumb, vapid, self-satisfied, without talent or charm and also, apparently, a massive cad, all of which renders him extremely unattractive. Every time I see his sht-eating grin, which seems to scream "look how pretty I am", I feel the overpowering urge to smack him. I can't think of any other male movie star where the disparity between looks and personality+talent is so gaping. Even Brad Pitt, who isn't exceptionally talented or bright, at least seems to mean well and doesn't come off as a giant buffoon. Can someone explain this tool's appeal? Nexus One Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I'm a guy, but I don't see why so many people dislike him. I don't think he's talentless, he has good confidence and good looks, which made him successful, neither do I think he's the worst of actors. I actually like him and I think it'd be fun hanging out with him, but that's just me.

I'm a woman so our perspectives may be different but he has never once made me laugh or even smile, only cringe, and he can't do serious roles either. Confidence without a brain (or heart) is pretty empty.
iris219 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I don't think he's gorgeous. Pretty boys are not my type. I'm not sure about his personalty; I only know him from That 70's Show where he was supposed to be an idiot, which he played well. What does this have to do with dating? Are you trying to point out that men need to be more than just attractive?

Confidence without a brain (or heart) is pretty empty. He has made me laugh. Neither do I think he's dumb or heartless. I actually know a few guys who are somewhat like him. They can be fun to hang out with. I know it's not always right to laugh at their "stupidities", but I can't help it, because they don't give a sh*t in the sense that they can go full retard.
Feelin Frisky Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 He doesn't register on me at all. I've never seen any of his TV shows--just a couple of his romantic comedy movies which I thought were very entertaining (Guess Who? and the one with Tara Reid about the Boss's daughter). Obviously he's handsome, tall and photogenic. Other than that I haven't a clue about him or an opinion.
snug.bunny Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 No, I do not find him attractive. I always think of Kelso from "That 70's Show". Hyde was cuter.
Art_Critic Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 but he has never once made me laugh or even smile, Yeah.. but women as a rule don't think the three stooges are funny either AK has a great career that kinda speaks for itself... 8.5 million+ twitter followers..
Woggle Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I can't think of any movies with him that I really like.
kaylan Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 haters gon' hate Im not a fan of his movies, but loved him in thats 70s show and punked. Hes not a bad actor at all. Just your average actor with good looks, height, and funny charm.
nothappyjan Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I dont find him good looking at ALL plus i think he's a douche. His hair always looks greasy too ewww

xpaperxcutx Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 He used to be a Calvin. Klein.model amd he started his career modeling. Obviously his looks got I'm through the door but his cockiness makes me want to puke.
KR10N Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Nope! Never cared for him. I've heard people compare him to Josh Heartnet, while they do look somewhat alike (the eyes, I think), Josh is obviously the better actor.
Eve Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I think Aston is pretty funny and hot. He has accomplished a lot too. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005110/bio I know he has a disabled twin and when I have seen him interviewed he came across as ok. Demi is pretty smart so I don't think he could get away with being thick. Loved the humour of films such as - . 'My Bosses daughter' . 'Killers' . 'Just Married' - with the late Brittany Murphy, who I adored. Paid attention to him mainly from 'The Butterfly Effect', which was a top film! and back in the days of 'Punked', which was hilarious! I will assume that this thread is in reaction to his new appearance in 'Two and a half men', which I do not follow... and maybe some new news about his marriage to Demi. Fickle as I can be, I don't follow celebrity gossip. But no, Ashton is HOT! Not heard any negativs said about him. He really was a super HOT model too. Like, howl at the moon with no panties on HOT. My bias is that I am attracted to his build, youthfulness, sense of humour etc. It's the tall, quirky, dark hair thing. Take care, Eve x
frustr8ed Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 That guy is far from stupid. He has made far more money from investing (mostly in technology) than making movies. Just because he plays an idiot on t.v doesn't equate to one in real life.

In my opinion he reeks of immaturity, cocky attitude and deceitfulness.

Just because he plays an idiot on t.v doesn't equate to one in real life. Getting lucky at the rigged casino called the stock market doesn't make you intelligent, it just means you're in the know. Kutcher may be retarded, but he's got friends in high places. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the old homosexual media moguls give him information in exchange for sexual favors
Eve Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 What has he done to deserve all these horrid comments? Did he give a bad interview recently? Take care, Eve x
Wolf18 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 What has he done to deserve all these horrid comments? Did he give a bad interview recently? Take care, Eve x I don't follow celebrity gossip , my gripe with him is he has no talent, he isn't funny, and he is 1 dimensional. In other words, I have nothing against him, I just think that instead of passing him off as amusing, interesting, or cool, cardboard cutouts like him, Jessica Alba, Megan Fox, were born to make porn not blockbuster films. Maybe Kutcher could make soap operas since his sole bankability is that women think he's hot, but the abomination that became of 2 1/2 men (the only show I used to watch on TV) means that names need to be put on hitlists in my opinion.
Oxy Moronovich Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I'm a woman so our perspectives may be different but he has never once made me laugh or even smile, only cringe, and he can't do serious roles either. Confidence without a brain (or heart) is pretty empty. This could describe sooooooooo many people in the American entertainment industry. Quit pretending Ashton is the only one in Hollywood with these qualities. What has he done to deserve all these horrid comments? Did he give a bad interview recently? Take care, Eve x It's because of his break-up with Demi Moore. When he was with Demi Moore, everyone thought he was a good person for going with a chick 15 yrs his senior. Now that they're breaking up and he supposedly had sex with two younger women, he's a horrible cad. According with People magazine's interviews with friends of the couple, they were open about their marriage. Demi approved of seeing other women once and a while. Demi killed the marriage, not Ashton. She let her insecurities get the best of her. She only started to care about the affairs Ashton had when the media started making her seem like fool for being played. So her confidence was shattered. She started acting more insecure. That's why she twittered those bikini pics of herself. She wanted to show the world she still had it. But her confidence was still shattered and it took a toll on the marriage. There were fights and Demi going anorexic. Friends close to the couple even said Demi was the one causing the most problems. They went to marriage counselling but it didn't work. So there's nothing left to do but break up. Folks need to get off Ashton. He was a good guy. He makes more money than her and there's nothing financial to gain from going with Demi. I hear she's getting a huge divorce settlement. In fact, she got a huge settlement from Bruce, even bigger than she's ever made from a single film.
Wolf18 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Who said he's any worse? I think a lot of women here loved (and now hate) Ashton Kutcher because it gives them the idea that when they turn 50, they too will have long term relationships with male models who are 15 years younger, no two ways about it But while he isn't really that different from most celebrities, there is just something especially stupid about him. But sorry, all the goofy kabbalah foreskin rituals on the planet weren't going to make a marriage with that sort of dynamic work. I don't think having a large appettite for women makes you a bad person either, it just makes you a red blooded male. Of course when you find a worthwhile girl you have to get it under control (I doubt I ever will find such a girl ) but enough of the woman-defined morality. My grandpa cheated on my grandma left and right, he was still one of the straightest arrows I have ever known, nobody in my family has ever caught him telling a lie (When confronted about other women he would just nod or smirk ) and he worked his ass off to provide for his family (his kids, wife, AND parents).

I imagine you are on target. I saw a pic of Demi looking like whats her face Beckham the other day but didn't bother to read the article. Oh well. I still like Ashton for the stuff he has done. Always liked Demi too. Celebrities don't live in the real world so it is pointless to comment on their relationships. They will do it all again a couple more times I am sure, with different people - until their money runs out. Take care, Eve x
Wolf18 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 ^ You must have a very sophisticated taste in entertainment if you are a fan of Ashton Kutcher's art. What do you think the pathos of Ashton Kutcher's character in "Just Married" was? Would you say he was a Byronic hero? What about Kutcher's foil, Brittany Murphy?
