irc333 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 ....is that you'll always have younger people mistaking you for THEIR age. LOL I was browsing through the profiles one time, even had this happen in real life. I wonder if it's a genetic or nationality kind of thing where people have drank from the fountain of youth or something. I saw this woman, she had a few pictures up, I guessed her to be my age, around early 40's at the very most, maybe even late 30's.... Never would've guessed it, but early 50's!! Usually, even attractive women have crows feet or smile lines, but I don't really see any of that there. Are some people just genetically blessed by the genetics fairy? And get this, her dating age range specification is no older than late 40's and no younger than mid-30's....so she dates no one HER age. That being said, does anyone here, take advantage of their gift, and only date younger, simply because you know you look significantly younger?
grkBoy Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I do it at my work. With my hair dyed I look like I'm in my 20s...when I'm almost 40. Ageism is a mess in the world now, so I won't feel bad about looking younger. I wouldn't do it in dating though. Yeah it might seem cool to pick up a young 20s girl, but then the different lifestyles and maturity levels come out quick...thus messing it up.
monkey00 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Don't believe everything you see, she could have gone under the knife or had botox...just like every other aging actor/actress these days.
EnigmaticClarity Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 She is blessed by lots of makeup. Yep. When you see a picture of a woman wearing as much makeup as you can tell she is, it's very difficult to guess her age. Most pictures don't show makeup like the one you linked does, but the lighting on her face creates a glow that lets you see it really well. All I could say about this woman is she's somewhere between 35 and 60 due to that heavy makeup, really could be anywhere in between. She may indeed have crow's feet that are hidden, I'd be surprised if she doesn't given the age you say she is.
EnigmaticClarity Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 most people try to post a picture that makes them look thinner, hotter, younger. This is no exception. And it's standard operating procedure for cougars like her.
Disenchantedly Yours Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Don't believe everything you see, she could have gone under the knife or had botox...just like every other aging actor/actress these days. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. There was just an article about how in film women are still under represented and the most sexualized age group were teen girls. Even over women from 21-35. 35+ Forget it. They do that stuff to stay in the game and you really can't blame them. However, it does set unrealistic expectations. Expectations that both women and men buy into in their own ways. Women feel they need to look like that and men that feel that the only women worth loving or being with are 20 year olds.
FitChick Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Who cares why or how someone looks good? If you like the way they look, go for it. Would you prefer someone younger who looked older? I date younger men who generally think they are my age or older. What they don't know won't hurt them. What they see is what they (might) get.
TheBigQuestion Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I would not have pinned at woman's age at any younger than late 40s.
orion1010 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 My grandmother has no lines or wrinkles. my mother, (her daughter) is the same. They both look very young for their age and they both smoke!! I think this has been passed down to me because when I go out, I attract all the 22-23 year olds and they think I'm their age when really I'm 30. I don't have any lines, wrinkles, or crows feet but I'm only 30. I must get it genetically. The only thing I've done is use over the counter SPF cream after my shower since I've been 20 and use SPF in my coverup. Also, I used to tan but stopped the tanning bed thing years ago. I'd rather just get a little sun if I'm out for the day than lay in a bed and bake my skin. Yes, sometimes I do take advantage of that and go out with a younger guy but I'd rather have someone my own age. My ex fiance of 4 years was 21 when I met him and I was 26. My late FWB just turned 25. Stopped seeing both of them a month ago to make myself available for a more serious relationship with someone closer to my age though.
KathyM Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Some people are genetically blessed and age well for that reason. Some people take care of their bodies really well, they moisturize their skin, stay out of the sun, don't have large fluctuations in weight, exercise, and don't engage in things that normally age a person, like smoking, drinking, lack of sleep, or excessive sun exposure. Some people throw a lot of money around to cosmetic surgeons.
joystickd Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 There are some women in 40s and 50s that give young women a run for their money. I saw Jane Fonda on the view theis week and was like damn when they said how old she was
FitChick Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) There are some women in 40s and 50s that give young women a run for their money. I saw Jane Fonda on the view this week and was like damn when they said how old she was I think Jane Fonda is 75. She is one of my role models. She is not only fantastic looking but she is very fit and strong, probably stronger than I am now. Christie Brinkley is another gorgeous middle-aged woman. If you want to maintain your looks you have to start young as these two did. When I was a teen, I noticed what older women were doing right and wrong and determined never to make the same mistakes. I get told I look about 10 years younger then I actually am. I'm 32 and get mistaken for 22 or 23 all the time. It's genetics and my healthy life style. I don't smoke and I only drink a little. Drinking a smoking ages you significantly. I get hit on all the time by the young guys, but I don't date them. I try to date men around my age or older.

FitChick Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Here is an interview showing her in old and new workout videos.
ShannonMI Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) There are many variables but sun exposure really ages a woman's looks. When I travel to California or Arizona it's quite obvious. Women of 40 down there just look 'aged'...something about the skin. In contrast when back in Canada a woman of 40 still has that healthy glow. There are exceptions but in general the sun really ages one's looks. I tan one to two times a week and have since I was 18 years old. I'm 32 now and get told I look 10 years younger then I am. I still look good. If you bake your ass everyday for years then you are going to look ragged and old. It's all about moderation. Just like anything else that's unhealthy in life. ShannonMI Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Don't get too caught up in people telling you how 'young' you look. People fall for that flattery like no other. Best lines a guy can use to open up conversation with a female. Something to the effect of: Him: "We never had cell phones when I was you age. I'm still not used to them. Still have no idea what texting is" Her: "I remember life without cell phones". Him: 'You must have grown up in a rural area. Where was that?" Her: "No, here in the city" Him: "All girls your age in school had cell phones. " Her: "Not when i was in school. How old do you think I am?" Him: "No idea. I'm not good at guessing ages . Maybe 30? Her "I'm 43" Him: Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you act immature but you sure don't look 43". Is looking young for your age been a problem? Life must have been a pain always having to show your I.D." etc. I get told by EVERYONE I look young. Not just guys that want to screw me. Men, women, old people. I'm not kidding. I look good for my age. Look at my pictures in my profile. I have no wrinkles. I have freckles from sun damage, but that's about it.

Mom's 24/7 approached by HS kids and by young men; father 's the same with females. My family, dad's and mom's side age very slowly and live very long. what do you mean by ''unrealistic expectations''. My ancestors mated well, not my fault yours didn't .
