A lot of men and women seemingly and naively think they can "live it up" in the modern sexual age and then some amazingly perfect person will be there waiting for them in their late 20s to marry. They also think that no one will hold their past on them like a resume of if you're a good person to commit to or not. Suddenly they find all the "handome great established marrying men" got married in their early to mid 20s. All the "hot smart educated good women" also were snatched up and married. Some then try to steal a husband or wife, but many others then try to "make due" with what they have left in their pool. This is when women lament on how all the hot guys won't commit and all the committing guys are ugly doormats. This is when men complain how all the hot women are screwed up knocked up overgrown teenagers and all the "not messed up" women aren't as good looking as the screwed up ones. Thus the reality check comes in. Right now I see plenty of "good looking" men and women who want RLs seemingly unable to find mates because they set the bar very high and can't accept all the "hot committing good people" are gone. The rest simply play games of "I'll never settle" or "commitment is for suckers". This is why I keep telling younger folk not to expect some perfect mate to be waiting for them in their late 20s. People gain weight, wrinkle up, lose hair, end up with kids somehow, falter in life, etc.

We met at 16, I was looking for a singer, she was looking for a beat-maker. I was attracted to her as soon as I met her, but I didn't know how to deal with it and quite frankly it wasn't a big deal to me, so even though I was nervous because she was hot, I wasn't trying to get in her panties, it wasn't my agenda at the time. So we became friends, we spoke online a lot and occasionally got together and chilled and spoke music. I think that at various points she was attracted to me too, but I was doing things that would simultaneously turn her on and then off, without realizing what I was doing. But it came to a head 3 years ago when I met up with her again around the time of my birthday and she was even more stunning than usual. She had every attribute I found sexy in a woman, it is quite rare. I just didn't know how to get her. I could have, but I didn't know how. I told her about my virginity and she was shocked. Later she kept talking about how she wanted to sex me but she didn't want to take my virginity, which was highly frustrating for me. This was a back-and-forth thing that went on, where she would initiate sex talk with me, entertain the idea, and then say "oh but I can't take your virginity, I'm not good for it, blah-blah-blah". The kind of thing that makes your balls a bright shade of blue. Soon enough, I slept in her bed with her and did not even initiate a kiss, which I am still embarrassed about to this day. She was clearly annoyed, even though she told me she had a boyfriend. I was pissed off too, because I wanted her bad. Even now, I still think of her. Eventually, she got bored of my ineptitude and now we don't hang out as much, even though we still talk. Last I saw her was last year, we went to a concert together. Have spoken to her, but haven't seen her since, even though she lives round the corner from my cousin. I'm kinda shook to see her anyway.....

Now she's dating some other orbiter (who she's known for like 6 years lol), I guess his lack of basic dignity paid off in the end Add in the fact that her friends all think I'm a bad apple and "dangerous" (always treated this girl very well and she backs it up, I've never gotten her into any trouble but they are all friends with my friends and they hear trumped up "stories" about me), and it is now officially a lost cause. [/Quote] I try to give both sides of the story, because I hate people who can't reflect on themselves and realize there are many points of view. She deserves to be ripped into heavily, because she did do and say certain things to lead me on, when push came to shove she backed out. And she does worse to other guys, I just never let her get away with much. This has happened to me twice in the last couple of years. Some girl who I liked before this one was married at a young age and seperated from her husband, and she was saying all these crazy things (barely 2 weeks into knowing me mind you, I met her at the beginning of college) like she was in love with me and wanted me to move in with her, but when push came to shove she just got back with her older rich guy. She was probably off her meds Yes, she is the only girl I've ever felt that was so much like me and who genuinely cared about me. Even when she stopped doing sexual things, I still felt like she was my best friend (my male friends were living in other countries for 6 months or just got married, so I didn't have much of a social life except for her and it was actually similar for her since her boyfriend lives in another state and only saw her once or twice a month, she doesn't have many real friends either) and just accepted it because I thought she would eventually be overwhelmed by love for me, it felt like both of us were having a once in a lifetime opportunity, especially during the time when she had time off from school and choose to be with me every second over going to her boyfriends house. She would wait for me every day when I came back from work with a tasty meal, a served glass of chivas whisky she bought for my birthday, and a lot of affection and warmth (but was drawing the line whenever I made a sexual move). That really moved me, no girl had ever shown me that much compassion. I have a lot of trouble finding women who get me, because I'm such a damn walking contradiction and girls in general just seem so pidgeonholed. I can't date punk girls because they think some of my views on life or sense of humor are outrageous. I can't date christian church women because they feel the same and curse my antics. The girls I've seen even at the pique of my physical attractiveness, were probably 10 times better looking than this one physically, but I never felt like I had anything in common with them ( I don't think they liked me much either) except for the sexual aspect .Here I found someone that was the perfect synthesis for me and of course, I will evoke my favorite anecdote: "God gives bread to the toothless". No need to "drop this one" as such, just stop letting her take time away from pursuing dates that might actually go somewhere. In short, she's not worth the effort to drop, just look forward and get moving.

I meant it in the way that I am mentally and spiritually incompatible with a very large population of women, i have no trouble finding fellow males who I get along with.
