oaks Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I wanna know the psychology behind why it's a huge turn-off to you? No idea. I just don't like the smell of fresh or stale cigarette smoke and I don't like the taste of kissing someone who has just been smoking.
Soxfaninfl Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I don't date smokers. It's a deal breaker for me. I don't like kissing an ash tray, and it makes your clothes stink. I dated one smoker, and it was enough for me.
Lostinlife4now Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 all I gotta say that everyone that posted in here is ignorant. It's a red flag for mental issues? Really? Grow up and if it's a big deal then back off, but to classify a smoker as a different breed is dumb. I smoke. I work out. And I bet I could out run everyone on this post. Couldn't agree more with this statement! My mother is 75 years old AND STILL SMOKES....she is in great health and could out run you and me. If that is the only problem this girl has...GET OVER YOURSELF! Be happy she isn't smoking CRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't stand individuals who think they are better than.......
Randybrandt Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I used to swear up and down I would never date a smoker. It was a deal breaker for me and one day I met my current GF who smokes. She is very respectful though. She doesn't blow smoke in my face she doesn't kiss me after she smokes and she rolls down the window when she is in the car and thankfully she doesn't smoke in my flat.
Author Easyguy14 Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 Hasn't she taken the class where she cuts open the dead bodies and sees their blackened lungs? I dated a funeral director who smoked and he said having seen what he's seen his whole life (family business for over a hundred years), he lives for today. Also, smoking took away the stench of decomposition and chemicals, all part of the funeral business. He has to deal with other people's grief every single day. I couldn't do it. He also drank rather heavily. Made a lot of money though -- it's a recession proof business! thats true & there's alot of drinking going on here where I work too. I take my shots after work at a bar but I never overdo it. some of the guys here drink on the job including my colleague. we both work as trade embalmers because we can collect whatever amount of $$ we want but the smoking to me is an all-around turnoff & back in school 75% of the students puffed away, so I guess this young lady got caught up in it. still not sure about what to do about her because seeing her again today outside the door & lighting up another match in the rain annoyed me.
