The last time it went like that, the girl messaged me last to tell me she thought I was great and wanted to see me again, then flaked and never responded again. I just assumed she started talking to another guy that was more interesting to her at that time. Like spinaroonie was saying, an attractive girl on a dating website has cooonstant guys messaging, so you really can't get invested early on. After online dating for 6 months, I didn't even mention the girl to anybody until I got a month in because so many will flake out of nowhere and make me feel like a dumbass to anybody I've mentioned her to. I always make sure to give a girl a clean break now since I realize how much that unsureness sucks. I also think a lot of people don't have the guts to actually end it, so personally I always move on after 2 cancellations unless she specifically plans us another date.
