Dry spells are one bad thing about being single.

How about this one Wolfie: I have a friend who’s had a crush on me for 7 years. He’s hot—6’2”, 185, dark hair, blue eyes. He looks like a young Alec Baldwin. We are not right for each other in terms of a relationship—different values. So he’s friendzoned. How do you explain that? Attraction, as I've said before on LS, is so much more complicated that just finding someone who’s objectively hot.

You think I'd lie to you!? ;)

I swear, it is 100% true. Why don't you want to believe it? Do you think all women drop their panties just because a guy is hot?

Ahhhh if he looked like a young Alec Baldwin, my panties would be dropping. So he's a friend? Just bang him. He will still be friends with you after you do him. It may be a bit awkward afterward, but if you are true friends then you'll move on from it. You know he's a good guy and not a creep, so just do it.

I’m sure I could hook up with some random dude, but I don’t want that. Why do you and some other men on here find it so hard to believe that attractive women have trouble finding suitable and/or relationship minded men?

So how do you define suitable?

I'm sure you know a few men who have the same relationship values that you do, but they aren't "suitable" so they don't count.

The guy has had a crush on her for 7 years. She friendzoned him, it's amazing he held out that long around her. If she f*cked him and put him back into the friendzone afterwards, then she'd be playing with his emotions big time. So in my opinion she shouldn't have sex with him and shouldn't lead him on, but should rather say that it'll never work out, so that the guy can finally move on.

Oh, I considered this at one point. I find him attractive, but I'm not particularly attracted to him. I made out with him once just to try it out, and it was HORRIBLE. It was the worst make-out session ever and I'm including high school. He wasn't just a bad kisser; he was beyond bad. Bizarre might be a better way to describe it.

Yeah yeah I hear you. She'd have to explain that it would be just sex and nothing romantic would ever come of it. If he couldn't handle it, she shouldn't do it. Some guys would be cool with it and some guys wouldn't. And what are these "values" that are keeping them from being together I wonder?

Did he try eating your face? Hahahahahahaha a bad kisser is SUCH a deal breaker. I love to make out and if the guy sucks, that's it. It's a no go. I wonder what sex would be like with him if he can't even kiss:confused:

I’ve repressed a lot of it because it was so traumatic.:lmao:

I remember that he somehow managed to lick my teeth…a lot. And he talked during it; he said weird things, but not really to me, just out loud. I tried to take control and get him to kiss me normally, but it wasn’t happening.

Hahahahahahaha a teeth licker, huh? Yikes. No wonder you were traumatized. I would have been too. I kissed a male friend of mine recently and it was rather nice. He was a great kisser.

Even then I think she should protect him from himself and hold him at a distance, because she knew a relationship with him wouldn't work, but that's my opinion.

No wonder he's had a crush on you for 7 years if you lead him on like that. If you know you're not into him enough for a relationship, yet still "try him out" like he's some ice cream flavor and then spit him out for not being a good enough kisser, then I'm sorry to say Iris, but then your woes about getting into a relationship don't sound so surprising anymore.

If a guy that looks like that kisses so poorly and is pursuing you for 7 years, there is probably something seriously wrong with him, so I believe you.

I myself am starting to forget how to kiss a girl after so many months, so while what you describe is abhorrant don't write someone off just for that. Or else guys like me are going to have to practice with my grandmas cat to stay sharp.

Um…that’s very judgmental, Nexus. I’ve known the guy for years and I kissed him once several months ago. I have never led him on. I’ve always been very clear that I wasn’t interested.

I had a moment this year where I thought that maybe I should keep all my options open rather than waiting around for someone who might not exist. I figured why not give the guy a chance? I don’t think I did anything wrong, so to say that me making out with this particular individual is just cause for my dating woes is really mean and unnecessary.

Oh no biggie then, I thought you were stringing him along all those years. My bad.
