irc333 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Okay, not sure if anyone watches this show....could be staged but who knows....I was watching it....and she was interviewing women for potential matches.....there was this red-head that was next.....and the Matchmaker sttes, "You know how I feel about red-heads?" And of course, the woman looked at her like she had 2 heads. Apparently, she never takes on red heads as prospects, basically deal breakers for her matches. This particular red-head lucked out because the man in question, was a red-head himself. I would've said, "It doesn't matter what YOU think of red heads, does it?" Plus, she lacks professionalism in her conversation with her clients...very vulgar comments While giving fashion tips, she would say things like "I wouldn't give you a BJ if you were wearing an awful shirt like that." Why can't she just say, "You might want to change up that style of shirt, women like....this kind of...<insert fashion comment here> or perhaps say something like like "They might be put off by that logo shirt you're wearing". Any feedback on that show...it kinda sealed the deal for me when she has some kind of red-head non-fetish.

She had said that her, her mother and her grandmother were all Matchmakers professionally. Chances are, she inherited her hand me down. I like the woman who does "Why am I still single" forget the real full title....where she has 2 polar opposites with social issues on a date. She is very helpful and compassionate. Really wanting people to improve themselves, and I like her for that.

She was with a guy for a long time named Andy and was going to marry him. I think they were together for 8 years. She broke off the engagment cuase he didn't want to have kids. That's what I heard.

Disenchantedly Yours Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I use to watch this show but sometimes it makes me cringe. Most of the men are vapid. Most of the women act like they are going out with these guys for true love. Patty is rude and sometimes hypocritical. I remember one episode where she felt a female millionare needed a make over but she never gave her one. If she had been a guy, she whould have taken him shopping or to a spa. But she just let this chick go out looking like a hot mess even though she knew she looked like a hot mess.

I'd like to see her take low-earning nerds who can't get a woman to save their lives and make them over. With millionaires they still have money, which is their big selling point. I still think most millionaires can at least land a hot gold digger if they wanted. The rude comments are simply to sell the show. No one wants to buy "nice". They want drama. Look at the crappy shows MTV pushes or those "Real Housewives" shows. It's all about trashy, drama, shallowness, etc.

Patti is a raging bitch, but she must be doing something right because she has millionaire clients and a successful show on Bravo. She tells it like it is and she honestly cracks me up. I've been told I'm vulgar myself so perhaps that's why I like her. Did you see the one with the Cookie Diet president? That one was hilarious. The guy was gay and a totally primadonna. I really like her assistants, too....the notable match up....was the humor writer for Groupon...he was great, he even has humor when he talks. I like the way he described the mixed drink he was drinking with that party girl on his date. lol The Goth girl asst.....liked him a lot, Patty did not...I was like "crap, match them up"

Her clients are millionaires and she has no problem telling them to go sh*t in their hats if they ask for it. Gotta respect her for that.

We worship the 1% as if they were gods. I think it's more about Patti and her antics and sassy mouth. That's why it is so fun to watch. If the matchmaker was a drip, it would be boring as hell. Also some of those millionaires are pretty eccentric and interesting. That's probably why they are as rich as they are and why we love watching them.

She isn't afraid to beat around the bush and a lot of these millionaires are used to people pandering to them constantly. They're (supposedly) trying to find true love and they aren't going to do it with 20 year old bimbos. She shakes them out of their comfort zone and if they let her, the results are good. Big Patti fan.
