Found out ex made contact with brother...interpretation?

My brother told me that my ex recently stopped him in their downtown office building. My brother said she came up behind him, and called out his name, to say hi. Initially it put a smile on my face and gave me hope, as she's been with another guy for 8 mos. now. However reality set in, and I really get frustrated and angry wondering why she'd give me false hope, as it's just a form of antagonizing me. Back in may, she told me she still loved my family, but hated me. I last talked to her in aug. and she was in different towards me. Just curious on some pro's oppinions of this run in? I'm thinking it's her way of tryna rear her head back into my life without contacting me directly and jeopardizing her current fling.

Sounds like you are taking things personally and giving double meanings to all sorts of things.

 

I guess she just wanted to know how you are doing, the same way you'd ask about someone you know if you run into them.

 

Sorry about the ex and the guy etc, that kind of sucks.

i agree with Chi TownD. chances are she felt that enough time had passed since the two of your broke up; so she decided to say "hi" to your brother. and you did say she still liked your family. so i don't see why she wouldn't try to reach out in some small way.

 

i mean if she was deliberately fishing for information then your theory may hold water. but not in this case. "hi" just means "hi".
