AmericanHoney Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 We have all heard of the drama queens but what about the drama kings? My guy friend is a total drama king. Everything he does he makes a mountain out of a molehill. He has a stomache so he lets everyone know he has a stomache and all night long! My stomach hurts so much! I don't know if I can go on ouch....... I take him out to dinner with my friends and he makes a production about what to eat like does that have gluten in it?? He totally doesn't even have a gluten allergy because he eats things with gluten all the time but when we go out to eat suddenly he says I can't eat that it has gluten in it. I know us girls can be drama queens sometimes but guys who are drama kings wow it makes me feel like I am hanging with a child. My friends even say Todd is such a drama queen! Leave him at home! I want to include my friend but I don't want to tick my friends off either because he is so dramatic.
Ariadne Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Hi, Accept people as they are, and don't mind what other people say. It's more important to be loyal to your friends than to diss your friends because of other peoples' opinions.
val8rie Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Speaking of drama... Have you ever noticed that the people who proclaim to have "no time or tolerance for drama" in their life, are the people who create the most of it?! Not only in their own lives, but in ours as well!

Tell him, "Todd, either knock it off or I'm going to knock it off for you." Forget that it barely makes sense. He needs to know how you feel. If he keeps it up (and he likely will), keep him separate from your friends. Such is the price for such antics.
Author AmericanHoney Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Crazy thing tonight my friend called me and said hey want to go out to eat and I said I have to catch up on some homework i'll text you when I am finished and I text him when I am finished with my homework and I say want to go out to eat now and he said I am busy TTYL. It is almost like he is upset because I have homework to do and is upset so he blows me off and never did he to me TTYL. Seriously drama king! If he doesn't get his way he sulks.

What are you going to do, American Honey?
Author AmericanHoney Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 He is also self-centered and a drama king so it's always me,me,me. My friends will say something and he automatically reverts it back to himself. I guess I could say stop being such a drama king grow up my friends daughter is more mature than you but I do not want to be too mean so I have to be subtle:p

Why not talk about it outside the moment? You'll be less likely to haul off with something insensitive. Try something like "Todd. You're a hella cool guy but you're driving me bat sh*t with the drama. Enough of the Anna Karenina. It's going to get in the way of our friendship and I'd hate that to happen."
