SnwBun Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I'm in a predicament, The story: Me and my ex boyfriend were dating for almost 4 years. We lived together for 2 years then he had to move away to grad school for 2 years. We tried the long distance thing for a few months but he was always busy with work which made it hard. He broke up with me because he said he didnt want things to turn bad between us. We would still see each other every time he was in town. We still have feeling for each other and he even said he wanted to get back together. He is a great guy, we rarely fought, got along well. I feel like he my best friend. I just meet this new guy who is cute and nice, but we have only been talking for 2 weeks. Heres the problem, my ex bf is coming back to town soon. I cant decide if i should see the new guy or if I should wait for my ex. I realize if I date this new guy I would be losing him. I dont want to lose him but also like the new guy. What should I do?
SincereOnlineGuy Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 It wouldn't be fully fair to the new guy for you to date him before the old guy comes into town. For if it comes to a coin-flip decision between the two guys, you will, appropriately, stick with the old guy. Not that YOU won't probably land the best chance for yourself, in terms of a potential boyfriend, but the deck is stacked in favor of the one you've known, and against the new guy. You have more past to 'build on' with the old guy, and ultimately it is from that which the greatest rewards tend to come.
