Hey everyone, this is actually a question for the girls, guys can feel free to chime in though. I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I have been dating this girl for four months, and am looking to get her a Christmas card. I think I have the perfect quote for her in the card. I just want to know if the message is too serious or not. I'm probably over thinking it, but I wanna make sure. The message is

It’s been said that you only truly fall in love once, but I don’t believe it. Every time I see you, I fall in love all over again.

Is that too serious for a girlfriend of 4 months? And if so, do you have any suggestions about what I could say in it. Thank you.

I would play it safe and say something like merry xmas, i hope theres many more to come.

Shows your thinking of her in your future but not overly lovey dovey.

If you do a lot of romantic jestures for her already then stick with what you've wrote if she responds well to the romance, if not play safe.

It's too much, so don't give her that card.

I think that card is meant as a "re-affirmation to the freshness of love" for people in LTR's.

In fact, I'd stick to the present moment (and not say, "Hope there's many more.") by getting a sweet card that says something along the lines of 'To my special sweetheart'.

Thanks.

I kinda figured it was too much, but just wanted to see if anyone else thought so. And it's usually good to get an outside opinion.

I agree. Its too much.... The sentiment is incredibly sweet, but I think its a tad hokey. No offense of course, just my honest opinion.

I find the cards that mean the most to me, and the ones Ive cherished from family and boyfriends past, are usually blank inside, so the words are written from the sender themselves, straight from the heart, and phrased JUST so

Just a thought...

I agree.

And the Papyrus line of cards is very nice.

They're high quality paper with beautiful decoration.
