These days, so many women are willing to have sex without any kind of commitment. So men are taking advantage of it. Women are giving it all away for free, and then wondering why men won't give anything in return. The answer should be obvious: Because they don't have to! That's why I have a rule for myself: No sex outside of committed relationships. I'm not using sex as a bartering tool, I'm not trying to manipulate anyone, I'm not withholding sex as a punishment...I just have boundaries and the self-respect to enforce them. And you know what? I've never had this problem of men stringing me along, refusing to commit. Because I don't allow it. I've made it impossible for men to take advantage of me. If he doesn't want to be in a relationship with me, then I don't want to have sex with him. Simple as that. We go our separate ways and no one gets hurt. This works for me. I'd only want to have sex with a man who is proud to call himself my boyfriend, who values me and our relationship, and who treats me with respect. I have no desire to be intimate with a man who doesn't value me enough to commit to me. Wow Cypress. Normally you and I don't see eye to eye, but I applaud you on this issue. Your attitude seems very healthy. More women need to stand up for what they believe in.

The more reasons we as a society produce as to not be in a relationship, the less amount of relationships there will be.

More and more women are hearing about this self-respect thing and they like the sound of it. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Hahaha... Keep on dreaming, but its not going to happen anytime soon. Besides, men will simply tell you what you want to hear in order to get what they want as they have always done. Currently Im staying in a less sexually liberated country. And over here the men simply tell the women what they want to hear and leave them after they have had sex with them or have sex with prostitutes behind their girlfriends backs. No matter how hard you women try to prevent men's appetite for variety, you are never going to succeed.

I don't agree with this. Men want quality as well and I believe in commitment when it is truly worth it but so often it is not. If you find a loving and loyal woman who will stick by you and be faithful then it is fully worth it but if a man can't find a woman like this which is becoming increasingly hard then he should live a full and happy life without it. If a woman thinks this makes her a stepford wife she has no business being in a relationship with a man anyway Women don't have to play sexual games or any of that to get a man to commit. Just show that life with you is better than being single and drama free.
