dasein Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Simple question, what kind of music turns you on sexually? What kind of music do you like to play or hear that creates a romantic environment? Will ask that people not make fun of others' musical taste in this thread please.

jerbear Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Swing styled music, jive music, and others. I took a liking to music that Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire dance too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_OCayMN9JA
FrustrationSetsIn Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Portishead ...sexy beats everywhere!
Feelin Frisky Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Classic R&B and Motown, high art rock--not metal or hair band, classical music can be good--not an opera lover though, hip-hop is a turn off. I find the old Sinatra stuff and the other crooners to be kind of smothering.
Sanman Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Michael Jackson's 'Beat It', but only when I am alone.
Author dasein Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Forgot to answer my own thread, trance, ambient, lounge, house, triphop these days. I don't actually know the difference between any of those, they sound mostly the same to me.
runner Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 which ever music distracts the roommates enough so they don't have keep hearing the bed thump (e.g., metallica, tiesto, etc.)
tigressA Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011  I love Jeff Buckley. Any of his songs help get me in the mood.
OliveOyl Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Michael Jackson's 'Beat It', but only when I am alone. When you're not alone, does Weird Al Yankovic's parody "Eat It" get you in the mood too?
Sanman Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 When you're not alone, does Weird Al Yankovic's parody "Eat It" get you in the mood too? I like to think of that more as dinner party music. It gets everyone in the mood!
Casablanca Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I dont like any music during sexual activities, none really turns me on and I surely dont want it playing while getting down...now I'm okay with a sports game being on in the background
El Brujo Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 If you don't think Pachelbel's Canon is erotic, you need to check your pulse.
El Brujo Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Wow! VERY nice indeed! Wouldn't you agree it sounds better than some electric-saw-ripping-through-boards Heavy Metal? BTW can you imagine today's metalheads still playing air guitar when their in their 90s?
Author dasein Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Yeah Sade has been a crowdpleaser ever since back in the 80s. She has some true staying power.
phineas Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Mitch Miller sing-along, polka, & Show tunes for my best gal.
phineas Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 ok, for serious, I just punch a song she likes into Pandora.com & let it roll. I can get down to just about anything cause like there's a naked lady in front of me so who cares what music is playing.
Author dasein Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 who cares what music is playing. She might, and have found the difference in responsiveness to be well worth thinking about it in advance.
tigressA Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 She might, and have found the difference in responsiveness to be well worth thinking about it in advance. True. I was once hooking up with a former FWB who I was infatuated with and a Death Cab song, 'Tiny Vessels', came on--I caught the line 'Yeah she is beautiful, but she don't mean a thing to me' and it described our dynamic pretty much perfectly. So. F*cking. Awkward. I felt horrible about myself and neither of us finished. Single worst sex session to date.
