mike12345 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Hi. I met this girl from my school, and I have a big crush on her. The problem is I have quite low self esteem since Im quite heavy guy. I really want to ask her out, but I've never had a girlfriend before. And Im 20. I know! So we were in this party with our friends and we were laying in the bed (small apartment, bed in the middle of chill room, so no privacy) and she puts the pillow on top of my stomach and lays her head on it... and stays there for almost half an hour. Does it mean anything??? It would be a lot easier to ask her out if i knew that she is/might be interested in me too. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.
smudge21 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 She feels comfortable with you at the very least. Obviously there is some connection there, whether it will be anything more than friends is anyone's guess at this stage. I think you should just keep talking to her and see how things progress. You do run the risk of being the "nice friend" if you're not too careful though, so watch out for certain signs (like if she ever starts to talk about some other guy she fancies). You're best bet if you want to find out where you stand is simply take the lead and whilst chatting, suggest meeting for a coffee one afternoon. Be busy so you can't really chat for long and kind head off mid way through the conversation, this allows you to suggest continuing this over a drink. It's hard to really say as only you know this girl, so only you know what is the right thing to say... Just try not to overthink things and go with your instinct. Do what's right for you and don't think about what others may say (one of the problems with a bit of insecurity). If it all goes wrong, at least you'll have tried rather than never trying and watching this girl vanish from your life somewhere down the line. Nothing more expensive than regret my friend. Good luck.
