This is a question for girls or guys..... For those who have been cheated on or perhaps you have even cheated ( no judging) why do you lie?? Say your girlfriend/ Boyfriend finds lipstick on your collar or perfume on your clothes or numbers in your pocket and you say what's this?? They lie and say oh it's nothing a old friend gave me a kiss or that number is from a long time ago and then you ask them you would never cheat on me would you?? They get angry and almost insulted you could even ask such an insane question. Why lie??

They want thier cake and to eat it too. They are insecure people who need a security blanket to maintain so they can run back to when and if things don't work out with the "other" person. That and a fear of losing a comfortable lifestyle.

It disgusts me there are so many cheaters just in the media these days. It's like it's okay to cheat forget their feelings it's okay to cheat. You have these gorgeous women and a fairly good looking husband and the husband strays away to get in on with multiple women and then when the woman finds out of course the husband denies it. It is pretty pathetic.....

They find it easier than telling the truth. Sometimes they don't tell a flat out lie but practice a form of verbal sleight of hand to bamboozle the other person into concluding something favourable to them. This is still deceit, and dishonest, and robs someone of their free choice.

They get angry when asked questions that strike a chord; that induce them to compare their behaviour with their values and self-perception, and they cannot avoid the discordance between the two. This is quite common - we all like to think we are good people and our behaviour is therefore good and therefore we deserve to be happy. Anything that breaks that chain of reasoning becomes a threat to our own happiness, and anger follows as a fight response to the threat.
