stillafool Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Really? Most black americans are of the same religious backgrounds as whites and latinos in this country. African Americans are either baptist, methodist, seven day aventist, or catholic. What are you?

African Americans are either baptist, methodist, seven day aventist, or catholic. What are you? Blacks are less likely to be Catholic then the general white population or the more recent European immigrants but are more likely to be Jehovah Witnesses. Meanwhile about 20% of American Muslims self identify as native born Blacks/African American. roughly double the percentage of Christians who call themselves Black. Many will identify as Sunni only so you don't mistake them for Nation of Islam or the 5 Percenters in the Nations of Gods and Earth. There is probably less of a Sunni v. Shia divide then Protestant v. Catholic in America.
dispatch3d Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I've read the first three words of every sentence so I'm figured I am overly qualified to answer this question. big dick=black guy average dick=white guy small dick=asian guy non-racist=doesn't matter
Author randomgirl1 Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 when asked about fundamental beliefs I consider myself sunni but it's nit a bug deal to me. It's not as big of a deal as others so yea...
AHardDaysNight Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Everyone has a certain type. I lean more towards my own race (white), but I also find black, asian, and indian women attractive, too. Maybe give it a shot, and see how it goes? You never know.
stillafool Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Maybe give it a shot, and see how it goes? You never know. But she isn't attracted to black guys.
stillafool Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Blacks are less likely to be Catholic then the general white population or the more recent European immigrants but are more likely to be Jehovah Witnesses. Most of the black people I know are baptist. I do know a few who are catholic.
Queen Zenobia Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 But she isn't attracted to black guys. I'm not attracted to white guys, yet here I am engaged to one.
Queen Zenobia Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I hope you told him that... I'm attracted to him. Just not white guys in general. Life has a funny way of laughing at things like that.
BillieAnn Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Girl, look!At first, someone's outfit maybe can tell us something about him, but his race tell us only about his origin, not about his personality. If his personality don't seems interesting for you, that is not the reason for you to have problems and doubt about your attracting in dark man! What is only important for being dating someone is how are you feel about that person! G:love:ood luck!
Pierre Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I'm attracted to him. Just not white guys in general. Life has a funny way of laughing at things like that. Is there a conscious attempt to lighten the skin tone of the offspring? It seems that most people favor the Nordic look.
stillafool Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I'm not attracted to white guys, yet here I am engaged to one. You are in a rare circumstance. Most people who aren't attracted to other people don't end up engaged to them. OP has stated she isn't attracted to his African American features. Why even think about getting involved with someone you don't find attractive? It isn't as if someone is holding a gun to her head. I say leave that person alone and free for someone who does find him attractive then go after someone in the race of people you want to be with.

I was speaking to the idea that you can't be attracted to someone of a race or ethnic background that you otherwise aren't attracted to. In general I'm not attracted to white guys, I am attracted to my fiance. He's a very good looking guy. Just because OP doesn't find African American features attractive doesn't mean that she'd never find a single African American male attractive ever. In my experience never is a very long time to forecast ahead.

I don't like pale guys blonds are pretty low of all guys I'm into. My male crushes are Latin American Eastern European Jewish or english. Not a one was blond I actually think brown hair blue eyes is prettier to see. Blond doesn't contrast the same but they're ok after all other types imo. I like facial hair and blonde isn't as noticeable.

Untouchable_Fire Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Ethiopian women are hot!!!!!!!!:D Nice curves and skin! I completely agree! They have a large community near where I live. For some reason the women from southern Africa look like toads to me. Sure there is a pretty one here and there, but for the most part I'm just not into those face shapes. I think that is probably what OP is going through... and honestly it isn't a good idea to date someone you find unattractive. At some point it will become a big issue.
stillafool Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Just because OP doesn't find African American features attractive doesn't mean that she'd never find a single African American male attractive ever. In my experience never is a very long time to forecast ahead. That is not what this thread is about. She is talking about one particular guy and the race. She said this: The issue are the main features of racial background turns me off. Like I don't see how I'd make out with him?
Forever Learning Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I don't know why I'm so shallow. I know I have some flaws myself. Yet I can't help it. Advice? Should I ignore it and just date or should it be a dealbreaker? Is it fair what I believed? The reasons for physical attraction to someone are many and varied. Sometimes physical attraction can blossom towards someone once you get to know and like who they are on the inside. And that is really the biggie. Who they are on the INSIDE. So for example, I entered a relationship with someone I was physically attracted to when I was 26. I didn't give enough time and consideration to really understanding who he was on the INSIDE (a narcissistic psychopath). That poor decision on my part, of quickly entering into a relationship with a bad guy, caused me 16 years of desperate grief and turmoil. The lesson learned is you must determine if the person you are interested in, is good on the inside. It takes time to do this. Look for characteristics such as honesty and integrity. You won't go wrong if you do that. Good luck.
AHardDaysNight Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I'm attracted to him. Just not white guys in general. Life has a funny way of laughing at things like that. Exactly. I don't find the majority of black women attractive, but occasionally I'll meet a girl who pushes my buttons that way, and she is black. Suddenly, skin color does not matter. That's all I meant. Give it a shot with him, and see if it matters to you or not, OP.
