colslax Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 So to preface my story, I met this woman online. We have been talking for about two weeks first online and then a couple of phone calls and text messages in there. So on Tuesday in the course of conversation, she inquires what I'm up to this weekend. I was planning to ask if she was free anyway, so there's my chance. I'm only free on Friday, but would she be free to meet that evening? She's going to be out with some friends, but said she'd like to meet me at 9pm at a specific bar downtown, where I'm under the understanding her friends will be with as well. I feel like everything has gone very well thus far in our conversations, she was the first to initiate contact on the website and the first to offer her phone number. So I'm pretty sure she's interested...but why are her friends with? If she had plans that evening, I'm more than understanding...she has a life, which is awesome. Am I more of an afterthought on her evening or are her friends just a safety net and she's really wanting to work me into her schedule? Thank you in advance for any thoughts on the matter!
Pasttense Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Her friends are a security blanket for first meeting with someone new...
