sabiskittles Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Alright, kinda cheesy, but I'm looking for any ideas I can do because I want to help make my boyfriend's life a little better. I've tried asking him for ideas but he always tells me that he's happy with things just the way they are. So... have dinner ready when he's home from work, keep the house tidy, always try to look decent, yada yada yada.... Any other ideas to surprise him? I guess pretty much guys - what kinds of things does your dream girl do? Girls - What do you do to make your honey's day extra special?
Els Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 I think it depends on the sort of man, to be honest. Any individual CAN do what she is doing, but whether or not they WILL is a whole different matter. If what she's doing is working for herself and her bf, eh, it's all good IMO. Equally so, I really don't know how we can offer suggestions when we don't know what your guy likes, OP. Too much variety to ponder upon.
norajane Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Nice, little things to do for a bf to show him you care: - short, sexy or flirtatious emails during the day, like..."I was just thinking about you...naked" - keeping his favorite beer or ice cream or whatever in stock in the house, or picking some up and bringing it to his place when you visit - not picking a chick-flick when it's movie night - tell him he's the best lover ever when he gives you a mind-blowing orgasm - make sure to say "thank you" when he does something for you, instead of taking it for granted. or even if it wasn't really anything you wanted/cared about...he made an effort, so be sure to thank him for it - don't make him feel guilty if he wants to do something without you sometimes - give him a kiss, tell him to have fun playing golf (or whatever) with his buddies, and tell him you'll look forward to when he gets back so you can get naked - cross something off his to-do list that you know he hates doing or doesn't have time for. My guy hates shopping, for example, so I might pick up something at the store that he's been meaning to get at some point. Or I might get his dry cleaning if he's going to be working late.
Author sabiskittles Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 BentNotBroken - I know that things such as being independent and educated are important, and in my opinion, these are necessary to being a happy person in general. However I have to disagree that doing things such as cooking dinner and doing laundry isn't key to being a good wife. It shows love and respect both to him and to our home. Personally, it makes me feel really good when he helps out by doing dishes if I'm struggling getting the baby to bed and other small things, and I could imagine that he appreciates coming home from a 52 hour work week to his girlfriend looking her best, a clean house, neatly folded clothes and healthy food. NoraJane - Thank you

Hats off to you, norajane.

alphamale Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 I guess pretty much guys - what kinds of things does your dream girl do? she does anal then swallows my semen and then makes me a hearty pot roast dinner with all the fixings
norajane Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I love these examples, and I think many women underestimate the importance of these. Hats off to you, norajane. Aw, thank you. I've learned that "thank you" is such a little thing, but it is so meaningful, and we often forget to say it in relationships, or think it's always implied. Everyone wants to feel their efforts are noticed and appreciated, whether it's for remembering to bring the mail in or for telling you about their personal thoughts. she does anal then swallows my semen and then makes me a hearty pot roast dinner with all the fixings Oh, Alpha. That's a given. She asked about something that would make his day "extra" special.
