Let's say you're waiting for a bus and a "good-looking" guy pulls up and offers you a ride. Do you take the ride? Does it matter if its a nice car or not? How should a guy ask the girl in this situation? I ask because I've seen very cute girls waiting for a bus and wanted to offer a ride and introduce myself, but just wasn't sure if its a creepy thing to do or not lol

this is 2011 not 1925 so you get a no every time you ask no matter how good-looking you think you are. come on, is this thread for real?

So no chance at all? I drive an Audi R8, surely they won't think I'm a serial killer with a $150,000 car?

I'd politely say "No thank you Mr. Bundy, You have a very nice Volkswagon and you're very handsome, but I don't want to end up as a "missing person".

LOL my ex is buying an R8 Spyder soon. I still wouldn't get in with him if I didn't know him.

I wouldn't get in with anyone--I've seen way too many Law & Order episodes.

seriously? I wouldn't give a crap what kind of car you drive.. I would never EVER get in a car with anyone I don't know!

Then again I've been watching too many episodes of Dexter lately...

If you're offering Godiva candy, sure. As long as you're not driving a van with tinted windows...

I would advise anyone, not just women, to avoid placing themselves in situations where they have to rely on the kindness of strangers.

Undoubtedly the majority of the people who have stopped for vehicle breakdowns are motivated by altruism, but the unfortunate fact that there are violent individuals out there looking for the perfect victim is enough to scare any sensible person out of accepting a lift.

What if it was the Batmobile? The 1989 model went for 400k on ebay.

Maybe the 1966 version- and only if Adam West was actually driving it.

Wasn't 1966 like 3yrs before Woodstock ... my god it was a loooong time ago. o.0

Like yes, it totally was, like, a long time ago.

No.

Unless it was Limo One, and had some flags flying on it. Then I would jump right in.

Bullsh*t. It can be done, even in 2011.

sure it probably could be done.. but the OP asked if it was creepy or not... and I think YES! it is pretty dang creepy. And the fact that he even asked the question on here is even creeping me out a bit... but ok, I'll bite. If the OP really wants to meet this cute girl waiting for a bus then he needs to find another way.. IMHO

So basically you are sad that your puzzy magnet doesn't work the way it was advertised to you ?

You will get women who will go with you, because Ted Bundy who was referenced above still got victims, but the women you will get will be very low self-esteem.

Curiously, Ted Bundy never came to my mind upon reading her post. (but in hindsight I am now certain you're on-target)

"Where the food gives you gas,

And the Bundy's kick ass,

AT the Nudie bar.

Where you punch down the shooters,

And unwrap the hooters,

AT the Nudie bar.

Where the music stinks,

And they water the drinks,

AT the Nudie bar."

To be trying to woo women to accept rides in that manner based on the perceived value of your car is akin to believing you can woo them into doing something stupid merely for telling them that you once scored 4 touchdowns in a single game at Polk High.

Ha!

Eggsactly.

That guy used to hand out personal business cards too.

Never in a million years would I leave a bus stop to get in a car with a stranger, no matter what the car or how attractive the guy.

Posted

This has happened to me a few times while at the bus stop. The last time was a very cute, well-dressed guy in a nice car. I said no every time, and said no when they asked for my number. I am not giving my number to some random guy who pulls up next to me on the street!

This. All girls are conditioned to never accept lifts from strangers - they generally also stay in public places where there are other people around, look over their shoulders constantly when walking in a dark or quiet place, hurry through deserted subways or find another route if possible, leave details of a date with a friend in case they go missing, etc. The golden rule of dating is never be alone with a guy unless you're sure about him and know him fairly well.

Guys don't really understand this because they're much more secure. This might help to explain: http://kateharding.net/2009/10/08/guest-blogger-starling-schrodinger%E2%80%99s-rapist-or-a-guy%E2%80%99s-guide-to-approaching-strange-women-without-being-maced/

How would I know the guy isn't a rapist? It would be extremely naive to get in the car with a complete stranger. Naive verging on stupidity
