I am 15 and never had a girlfriend, the girl I like is 15 as well. I am pretty shy, but we have had many conversations. During classes we have together she always wants my attention (touching me to get me to look at her, then saying "hey!", and tapping my arm to show me something on her computer). Some people have even thought we were dating just by how we act in class together.I am terrible at reading girls flirting signs because I convince myself she does not like me. A few days ago she took my sweatshirt string and tied it to her belt. she also has a little game where she takes things from my backpack and gives them back a few days later. Outside of class she acts as if im non-existent but during class I'm her whole world? I am very nice to everyone, which she has said many times to me. During one class we went to a store because we finished a test early.She asked me to buy her a coffee which was 5 dollars and when i said no she started to beg, and since i like her so much I could not resist. She has taken dollar bills from my backpack but I dont want to feel like a dick by telling her to give it back, the times i have done that she just laughs whichs only makes me like her more because she is adorable when she laughs. I feel like im being used, but I cannot get over her because sometimes it seems like she likes me as well. A couple days ago she sent me a text asking who i liked, and then said that I had promised id tell her. I asked her when i told her and she made up a text conversation that never happened. This is what she sent to me (this conversation neve rhappened but she swears its on her phone) U- hey me- hey u- guess what me-what? u- so i like someone.. me- who? u- ill tell you tomorrow me-what? no! why not now?? tell me!! u- im tired and im watching football so ill just tell you tomorrow. just remind me. me- ahhh noo me- ???? me- ughh fine just to clarify, the "me" is her and the u is me. and just to tell you again, this text conversation NEVER happened. but she says it did. this is getting long so ill rap it up. another important thing to add is that a couple weeks ago she came to me sad. She said the guy she liked had made plans with her and dithced her, and said all guys are jerks besides me. she wouldnt tell me his name but i figured it out easily (small school). they have been talking a lot and i see them together often. I am very confused because in class it seems like im the only thing that matters to her, but outside of class its like i dont exist. Is she using me for my money? support? should i move on? I need advice!! thank you. J
ErgoStep Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 You're in high school. It's like kindergarten for dating. I'd enjoy her company inside class. In high school folks date and break up all the time. If you want to hang out with her outside of class, come up with an idea. A coffee date or a dinner date is what college people usually do. If you'd rather do something with her that doesn't cost money, think of what you want to do instead of that.
