grecian Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I was always curious about this...what do other women think about this: If your guy checks out other women's boobs out in public (not intentionally follow someone with his eyes, just look at the boobs when some woman is passing by or is in front of him) how does it make you feel? Do you feel embarrassed, maybe offended? If you do feel bad about it do you tell him?
EmmaLou Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I don't mind as I genuinely think it's an impulse not involving any thoughts or intention, it's such a quick flick of the eyes that you can tell they don't have time to leer, or appreciate what they saw.. I think oggling/staring is completely different and is something a man chooses to do.
Feelin Frisky Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I never ogle anyone even if I'm alone. If I'm with someone, I may notice some other female if she has some outstanding physical attribute but not behave differently than usual. If circumstances allow me to take another look without it being obvious that I'm checking out this other woman, well, you got me, I'll have a surreptitious gander. It's in my "gentleman's handbook" not to be one of those predictable clowns who is just a caboose to his penis.
Negative Nancy Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I consciously don't look at other women, boobs or otherwise, when with my girlfriend. It's disrespectful. If I do it, I'm not aware of it. you're a good boyfriend. I do stare at my girl'ss boobs sometimes when we're at a restaurant or whatever. I'm not conscious of it until she says something like 'I'm up here' (in a nice way). i did it to my boyfriend once to get the point across as to how annoying staring can be: while he was standing there and talking to me, i nodded and followed the convo, but kept on staring at this package the whole time to the point where he got seriously irritated. i'm like "see? this is how we feel 99 % of the time " worked like a charm.

It's in my "gentleman's handbook" not to be one of those predictable clowns who is just a caboose to his penis. How nice, I respect that attitude. My ex was the same. I never saw him/caught him checking out other women. If he did, he did so in a manner that was unknown to me. I was with another guy once and --although we weren't dating-- he was just sitting there STARING at women walking by. It was quite rude and frustrating. I also didn't make a point to stare at guys when I was with my ex. First of all, I found him to be extremely attractive, so my eyes weren't wandering, but in any case, I wouldn't want to be rude. He was the same way. He would often comment about how beautiful I looked or something, and was definitely friendly to women we encountered, but never inappropriate. It is definitely the indication of a put-together man in my opinion if he is not ogling other women while he's with one.
ErgoStep Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 It's hard to find a good balance between sexual and respectful. Women are insulted to find their significant other watches porn. That's the "boob look" many levels beyond. Honestly, a lot of guys do watch porn in addition to having sex with their wife/girlfriend.
D-Lish Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 It annoys me if I catch them doing it. It's not that I don't expect they do it, but if they do it in front of me and I catch them, it makes me feel a little bit bad about myself. I myself do it, but I guarantee no bf of mine has seen me do it. Women have much better peripheral vision than men. I can see a guy out of the corner of my eye without actually looking in his direction. I'm also conscious about doing it in front of my guy. Men that make it obvious or make a habit of it won't last long with me.
Disenchantedly Yours Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I look at this way. When I am out and about with my guy, I am there to enjoy and share in an activity with him so that we can bond. So if he is checking out other girls, he is clearly not as invested in his time with me. He's more interested in multi tasking between men and oggling other women. If I see him notice anoher woman, I feel less connected with him and desire to spend less time with him. I pull back a bit. At the end of it, it's about what a man really values. Does he value a fleeting chance to cop a glance at other women because he's driven by his hormones. Or does he value his own self control and his time with me to focus on what's really important. Same goes for porn. 1
ThsAmericanLife Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 ... and just as quickly... the troll was removed. Wow, that was fast! back to the question... When I choose to spend time with a man, I would expect his full attention, just as I would give him mine. If he chose to ogle other women while with me, I'd just assume he problems setting priorities and cut him loose. The occasional unintentional glance wouldn't bother me... but also need to mention that most people's looks (good or bad) don't get my attention unless it was something truly out of the ordinary... like a streaker ran by or something.

Mrowka Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 my bf has a foot fetish and checks out other girls feel all the time. He says he cant control it but it just dosent seem believable. But it does bug me sometimes especially since he says he loves my feet. then why the urge to check others out?
