eleanorhurting Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Hey guys! I have been about 1 month nc, 2 and a half months since i broke up with the guy i "dated" (aka he used me for sex and I let him) for a few months in the summer and 1 year since I brke up with my ex boyfriend. I thought the day would not come when I could say that I think I have a crush! A real one not an imaginary one lol. Anyway I feel like its good! I am definitely not going to act on it because I still have many issues to work out and I am not ready to date again (he asked me out and I had to make something up) but its fun to feel a little giddy about a person again.
ChelseaLS Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Good for you elenor. It feels good to be drawn to someone other then your ex. I think its smart that you are taking your time until you are fully healed and work on your issues. Nothing wrong with enjoying their company. I wish you the very best.
Author eleanorhurting Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 i guess its true that when you are working hard at what you like people notice you. i met him during a night duty that i stayed when i could have left but i really love psychiatry so i stayed (i am a med student in case you misses that) he was the resident and we talked the whole shift. it was like an unintentional first date that went great. he wasnt even good looking but we just had so much in common and hit it off so well. now i get excited when i know i am going to see him its a fun feeling

This may seem like a bad example, but 6 and bit years ago... I was single and loving it, I didn't want a relationship and low and behold, my ex fell into my lap. And I am thankful he did. I spent 6 wonderful years with him. And I wouldn't trade it for the world... the point is I wasn't expecting or looking for anything.
