MiaColletus Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Alright so long story short my boyfriend is fairly young and still enjoys playing video games which I've never had a problem with because I am very busy with school all the time. However, for the past two weeks all he's been talking about is how he is going to be gone for a week once the new MW3 game comes out and not come out of his room. All he's been doing is hanging out at his friends house playing video games, and now that the game was released yesterday I can forget about him even contacting me. While it isn't a big deal that he wants to play video games with his friends for a whole week, it does kind of bother me that he has stopped talking to me completely. He has time to go online and post stuff on twitter and facebook but not send me at least one message to say whats up? I don't want to tell him that I'm bothered, and I really wanna be cool about this. But I also don't want to go without talking to my boyfriend for a whole week. So how should I proceed in this situation? Guys, what do you think I can do and would you do this to your gf and how would you want her to react? Would you really want her not to talk to you at all for a week?

Professor X Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 If it's the same guy you keep posting about than it's time you give up on him. He is obviously addicted to games and thus he has anger issues and snaps often at you (I know, I used to be an addicted too). His game and his friends come before you, you must understand this. And in a RS that is as long as you are in, this is just wrong. You can try and talk to him about it, but I highly doubt it will help, this is an addiction like any other (drugs, alcohol, etc) and as such, the change can only come from within or from drastic measures (I was lucky enough to have a strong will power and stopped it on my own).
