It's over as of last night.

When there's still a lot of feelings for the person, how does one get through it?

Slowly, and painfully at first. Turn your focus to yourself, and building strength and confidence. Focus on learning and doing new things. Face the break up and stay calm and cool. Forgive and move on. N/C if it's over for good. I feel for you because day one sucks. Day two doesn't feel much better, but slowly it does get better.

Hi and thanks for your response.

Curse it having be to slowly LOL.... I feel so sick. I don't want to do anything, see anyone, go anywhere. I don't know how i'm going to talk to others. I wanted to spend my life with him. Ugh.

Oh boy do I ever understand that. I too was sick (literally for the first two days I threw up), didn't want to go anywhere, do anything, see anyone... wanted to hide in a deep dark hole and never come out. I want to still spend my life with my ex.

But alas, we can't force peoples will, but you can force yourself. Force yourself to get out there and be around people and go places, helps you heal, even if it's hard. And the slow part I think we all understand that. I am sooo not a patient person so this is a fun (sarcasm) test for me.

Just remember you're not alone... all of us on here are at either in the same phase as you or can relate in some way and we are all here to lend a ear and give some comfort.
