ch47wife Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Good new, bad news. Husband got to come home early from drill this weekend! And although his early return interrupted my plans to relax this weekend, I must admit that it was nice to have him walk through the door in his uniform! Not to mention he helped cut the slack with the terrible tantruming toddler that I'm dealing with on my own! Bad news, he says he missed me and that being sick away from home sux, but only because he missed the luxury of his own home. I did get complimented on my clean house! It was ruined about 20 min after his return however. I busted my butt to make him some home made chili for din., had to ask him if he liked it or not. He said it was awesome! He didn't ask me once how my past couple of days have been, or how I'm feeling (I've been sick), or anything. He was trying to hang on me while I was cooking to, trying to snuggle. He did give the kid a bath though (after I'd asked him a couple of times), and I didn't even get any huffing and puffing! And the kid did the cutest thing tonight at the end of one of our recorded shows.....but the husband completely missed it. He was sitting not even 5' away, but was zoned out on the tv commercial. We'll see what tomarrow shall bring.
