Today is 7 years since the death of my mother. In that time her partner, my step Dad and both my brother and sister have also died. I feel so down and alone, especially today when we would normally at least get together to share our memories. Any suggestions?

Hi there,

I am so so sorry for your losses, there are no words. Just want you to know I am thinking of you (((hugs)))

Have you ever been to counselling? Or even the Doctors? They could perhaps give you some more information or put you in touch with a person/organisation who specifically helps people dealing with grief.

Sorry once again, do you have some close friends you can talk to?

Oh, I'm so sorry for your losses, cybersister. *hugs*

Do you have any other family members you could spend time with? Perhaps, nephews/nieces, aunts/uncles, or cousins?

Do you have any good friends, any kids, or a partner/spouse?

Are there any support groups in your area? Doesn't matter whether they're anonymous or not.

I would suggest distraction from grief, rather than grieving.

Watching TV is a passive activity. Do something interactive. Tennis, biking, video games, socializing online even.

Something fun. Something to take your mind off it.
