No, those are ugly as sin.

Hahahahahahahahahaha ok:lmao::lmao: I love them and people compliment me all the time on them. Oh well. Different tastes

I don't think those boots are particularly ugly, they are utilitarian because there really aren't that many warm, durable footwear options for uncertain terrain (snow ice) for women that don't give the army boot look or a masculine look. However ugly one thinks that look is, the alternative in a warm boot for women would be clunkier and uglier still.

There are many different styles of Uggs. Some are ugly and some are not.

No, really, they are all ugly. Sorry.

I love my Uggs. I have 4 pair. Chestnut, black, grey and chocolate. They are warm and feel like slippers.

I don't know if this is something that's internet/discussion forums-wide, but at least on LoveShack, there seems to be lots of guys 18-35 who are really negative (but serious, not facetious like Woody Allen) and always make posts that dog on the women that they see on the street, or on dating websites, or that they somehow tricked into speaking to them.

They all tend to have really belligerent, unapologetic attitudes; the guys 18-25 tend to be helpless, and the guys 26-35 tend to be bitter and despondent.

What's going on with these guys? What makes them tick?

One of my neighbors had a doberman and the guy beat the crap out of that poor dog all the time. I once saw him smacking the dog with a large stick mercilessly even as the dog whimpered. My sister was with me, we both witnessed this.

One day my sister walked by the fence and the dog came up snapping air, barking, and growling. It hit the fence so hard the post bent. My sister shocked and scared turned to me and asked "why is this dog so mean?"

... and now you are asking the same dumb question.

Post of the day for me, thanks.

It really is that simple. Now as to whether the beating of us LS dogs was by a third party or partially self-inflicted? Open to interpretation, but odds are there's some of both going on.

Has the moon entered its "hate on the bad wimmenz" phase recently? There is quite a bit of escalation around here.

I agree, it's a dumb question.

Men are the equivalent of dogs --- they have equal intelligence and are equally capable of making decisions and are just as prone to poor judgment and....................

etc.

I'd add that unlike dogs, humans are capable of rational and abstract thought. Although the older I get, the more I doubt whether it's true of all humans or only some.

Still, I don't know how far one would want to carry that metaphor, given that dogs are generally very restricted in their rights and so forth.

Lies. Men are the product of their "treatment" in all respects, like dogs. They also do nothing to bring upon their treatment.

They are indeed equivalent.

Dogs are also noble, loyal and will do anything to protect their master. I've had 2 dogs in my life, and when they died, it was like losing a sibling.

Compare the animal equivalent to women, the cat, who regardless of who you are will eat your face as soon as you die. When my moms cat died, I was relieved because that P.O.S. was really annoying.

Dogs also lick their own balls, smell @sses and eat their own sh*t. Not many humans do that:lmao::cool:

Many of them can be............. but they have been known to turn on their masters or warm up to other ones, or at least accept a bit of loving and food from others :p

As for kitties, many are nomads. My sister's cat is crazy though and is obsessed with her and qith following her around and sleeping near or on her routinely etc... and hisses at and hates everyone else

Oh I see, some guy asks about why he sees lots of women dressed identically and somehow this...

is ok, even high 5 worthy,

but this...

is not OK and an invitation to further an analogy between men and dogs and complain about "escalation" whatever that is.

I see.

No inconsistency there at all.

It's a retarded comparison and if I ever saw my neighbor beating the **** out of his pet (and frequently?!) I would be "evuhl" and report him.

I was more disturbed by the fact he stated they just "stood-by" and besides, it's not an equivalent.

PEOPLE get to choose the perceptions they maintain or whether to CHANGE them. A dog really doesn't know better................................ and enduring that kind of abuse, of course it's going to be frightened etc.

These "men", have been oppressed and physically abused by women etc? Wtf.

Wow, how far we have descended away from female fashion and beauty choices.

Back to the OP, I'm not a fan of uggs. Sure they're comfy and warm, but they're not very supportive and I've heard anecdotal evidence that they ruin your feet.

And thats why dogs don't need to have girlfriends or wives, cuz they lick thier own balls!!!! I just solved all of my problems....now if I could just reach....

Just curious, but in what manner have you heard they ruin feet?

They don't give enough support, particularly around the arch. If they're your everyday footwear and/or you do a lot of walking in them, then that's definitely not a good thing.

You know damn well if you could reach you'd be licking those puppies right now!!! As we speak!!:p:p

Do you have foot issues? I live in my Uggs all winter and I don't have support problems with them. I do notice the girls who wear the fake Uggs, the soles are all warped and their feet look odd in them.

What about for the flat-footies? (I have an exaggerated arch, I can't wear anything that's flat without my feet starting to ache, but my cousin has flat feet and she complains she can't wear any types of shoes designed with arches... she mostly wears sandals heh).

I wonder if adding insoles would be enough for support, otherwise too?

I'd agree it's both.

Honestly though... I think rejection doesn't make people stronger... I believe it makes them more emotionally fragile.

So long as RubySlipp, 2Sunny, and Soserious are still posting away... I'd say it all the hate evens out.

It depends upon the person - their focus, their ambition, their perception, their views.

It CAN definitely make some people stronger. And it seems it can definitely make others weaker. I don't think it's one or the other (although I used to think it could make them stronger........... but that was projection after all :p).
