What's up with tan girls who wear North Face jackets and Juicy/Pink sweatpants?

I don't know if this is something that's nation/North America-wide, but at least in New England, there seems to be lots of girls 18-35 who are really tan (but brown, not orange like Guidos) and always wear black North Face jackets, sweatpants that say "Pink" or "Juicy" across the butt and either slip-on, laceless sneakers or Ugg boots.

They all tend to have really dark, shiny straight hair; the girls 18-25 tend to have it really long, and the girls 26-35 tend to have it in a bob.

What's going on with these girls? What makes them tick?

They're a bunch of walking stomachs that live to consume... The curtains change colors , but they're dead on the inside.

Two words: Jersey Shore

I love the way you see things :love:

I hope you mean the TV show and not the actual Jersey Shore because I grew up going to the Jersey Shore and whiel there are people like that, it's no where near as exploited as the show makes it out to be. Also, the people from the show aren't even from New Jersey.

I personally hate the "pink" and "juicy" sweatpants BUT I get why young girls like them. When I was 18-20, I wore the "pink" sweat pants too. They were girly, comfortable and fun to wear.

I do love me some uggs though. I love boots.

U1987, these girls are just into the current fashion trends. Nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make them "dead" inside. Girls have their toys and boys have theirs. It just shows up in different ways. My mom would sometimes tease my dad for what he liked to spend his money on. But then, she liked to spend her money on things he wasn't into. Get to know someone before you judge them by their dress. No matter how they are dressed. Like a hobo or in current trends. Someone judging a person in current trends isn't more evolved then the people wearing the current trends just because they don't like them.

Welikeincrowds..I give you two thumbs up. I wish I knew what made these guys tick. It would be nice to know because maybe we could start working on doing some healing instead of berating.

I was in Paris for two weeks and did not see Uggs boots. I assume it must be American fashion. I saw a few folks with North Face, but they were A merican.

I don't think so, I remember seeing seeing these types of girls around back when I was in high school, all the way back in 2005; way before Jersey Shore.

I don't know if this is something that's internet/discussion forums-wide, but at least on LoveShack, there seems to be lots of guys 18-35 who are really negative (but serious, not facetious like Woody Allen) and always make posts that dog on the women that they see on the street, or on dating websites, or that they somehow tricked into speaking to them.

They all tend to have really belligerent, unapologetic attitudes; the guys 18-25 tend to be helpless, and the guys 26-35 tend to be bitter and despondent.

What's going on with these guys? What makes them tick?

I've often wondered. What about the outfits they sport?

I wasn't berating; I just want to know how to meet these girls because if you've seen them around, you'll notice that all these girls are extremely hot.

I'm just saying since they all dress and look the same, there must be some common personality traits between them that's conducive to getting to know them.

You might assume that they are conformists with little imagination or individuality, since they all dress identically. Are these traits that you value? How are you going to use this to your advantage?

LOL if you think Loveshack is so bad, why don't you go to literally any other internet forum and see what the male 18-35 demographic is saying there . :lmao: Why don't you start at 4Chan .

Better yet, come by the pub next friday and listen in to the conversation me and my friends have when the topic of women comes up. They all have girlfriends btw, so it's not what you think. There is a really awful social experiment going on in this country and things get worse by the minute.

It was Australian fashion. 10 years ago. Guess nobody thought to tell American girls they're not cool anymore. :p

I see this all the time.

It's kind of sexy, but at the same time, very barbie dollish. I wouldn't expect to discuss anything of substance with them.

Weird....I'm in the New England area and I see the same thing. It sucks dating around here cause Its hard to get over the leather skin look. Doesn't do it for me for some reason. I prefer a fuzzy suede :)

Pffft, this clothing that you speak of, is not prone to just tan women. Plenty of whities wearing it. It is just a fashion trend like any other.

And, Uggs only became popular after an America purchased the company.

that's a huge judgement to make based on how a woman dresses. Popular trends in fashion and those who follow them does not coorelate to similar traits in personality when your talking about random women on the street. Now if you see a group of girls who are friends and dress the same, that might, but not just random strangers who follow fashion trends.

Try treating the girls you are interested in as people. And go from there.

Guys do it too around here but it is a very small section of the Jersey Shore area that MTV likes to promote.

What are men saying? I've seen you say some horrible things about women myself Wolf, and it could just be teh company you keep, but I'd like to know what men are saying from your experience.

Correlating the way a person dresses to their intelligence is just about the most ignorant thing I've heard.

These bitter men crop up everywhere. Every single forum I've ever been on, excluding some music sites, I've seen them.

I belong to a social anxiety forum, and there are so many threads on bad boys/nice guys and true forced loneliness and misogynistic stuff that the administrator has made it a bannable offense to even mention those words! He stickied a thread at the top, much to everyone's thanks. Everyone, including me, is mighty sick of those threads.

I believe even Wolf was there once, but I think he was banned. For much of the same stuff he said here. Not sure, though, but I seem to remember a poster named Wolf that sounded like him.

It's funny how every relationship forum, or something that has to do with relationships, ends up with bitter guys and mods having to ban them or warn them. Even the autism community I visited once or twice, when I suspected I was an Aspie, had a "nice guy" thread that went on for 200 pages!

Look, it's a stereotype. Sometimes stereotypes are based in fact, sometimes not.

I think there are two sides to every person. Someone can be both a geek and a jock. Someone can be both sexually promiscuous and be a prude. Someone can be both intelligent and pretty, pretty dumb sometimes.

I never said that I wouldn't talk to someone who dressed that way, but I probably would be assuming that they were an airhead, until they proved me wrong.

Ditto, this place is a magical starlight unicorn farting pink bunnies of fluffy wubbity wub compared to the rest of the less censored net.

I can't visually imagine that in my mind without cracking up laughing.;)

EDIT: That is going in my siggy!

That's an interesting thought, will try to remember it the next time I see a 250 pound teenager in walmart wearing a six flags t-shirt and lime green crocs.
