To state my problem briefly: it would be inaccurate to say I haven't had any success with women, but I almost never attract the girls I'm attracted to. I typically wait for my relationships to fall into place; I've rarely put myself out on the line and tried to establish a relationship with someone whom I'm attracted to.

A lot of my problem probably stems from lack of confidence in my own personality. I'm good at having intellectual conversations with people I know, but I'm not very good at entertaining people I don't know. I have a good number of close friends that I trust, but I'm not very good at meeting new people. I'm comfortable with this, except to the extent that it limits my ability to meet the type of women that I'm interested in.

That being said, I have a lot going in my favor. I'm young (under 30), in very good physical condition, quite good looking by most accounts, and I earn a six figure salary.

I'm wondering what people think about what I'm doing wrong. I guess the simple answer is to be more outgoing, but that's not simple for everyone. In my case, I have a lot of positive characteristics, but I can't share them because I don't have the skills to get the ball rolling.

Really? No thoughts from anyone?

Haha agreed. "Should" isn't quite good enough for me though.

I actually own Dale Carnegie's book. It's certainly helped me with my professional relationships. But while I'm sure the principles are equally applicable to interactions with women, it doesn't deal directly with that subject. What I'm looking for is a way to put my best foot forward, given that I have a lot of really kick-ass qualities even though I'm not the wittiest or most exciting guy in the world.

I think you should be more active in meeting the new females. if you like sb, then you should let her know it. You don't need to wait others to say love first. right?
