Feeling detached from my girlfriend. Am i crazy here?

I've been dating my girlfriend for about a year now and suffice it to say she has a troubled past. I won't get too much into the past. I found out a few months ago her previous long term relationship was with another woman. I was assured by her and the other woman, who is still her friend, that she is straight.

 

It was a huge shock and made me question a lot of things. In bed, she's not super enthused about anything. The worsed part though is our lack of emotional connection...

 

We have been semi long distance the whole time. She is in college and I'm at home, we see each other every other weekend, sometimes more, and the whole summer. She has a best friend at school in the dorm right next to her who is straight, but I feel 100% like she has the emotional connection I deserve.

 

We have never had a phone conversation for longer than 5 minutes where as when she is with me she can talk to her 'best friend' for hours.

 

It's just frustrating and I need to vent and get other opinions. I've brought it up multiple times and she always says she'll try harder but it always goes right back to the way it was.

 

What do I do about this?
