Photos with her and another guy??

It's extremely weird because if you are trying to catch the attention of another man why do you have a picture with you and another man? But I know when it comes to a woman it's supposed to be accepted and use men are supposed to believe it's only her friend and nothing is going on. Now sure that same explanation would be accepted from a man.

What is the real reason women post pictures like this?

It's their most flattering one?

Posted

What are they doing in the picture, are they just two people standing next to each other, not touching each other.

Or, are they touching each other?

Do they look like they might as well be making out? lol

I was corresponding with this one woman online, she was divorced, then she uploaded a new photo of herself and had a caption PHOTOSHOPPED into her picture...."This is my ex taking me out for my B-day, isn't he sweet?"

I sent her a message asking her, "What's up with that, kind of a turn off to guys trying to go out with you."

I saw another picture of a woman, apparently she went on a cruise with a male friend, they had a formal picture of them (prom style picture) taken on the ship, just prior to dinner at the capt's table.

Not sure what these women were thinking.

They were standing next to each other but that shouldn't matter. I thought it was normal to have solo pictures of yourself in your profile. I would hope no family member has me in a picture that's on their dating profile

It is just as bad as the guys posting pics of him draped with chicks; as though that makes him more attractive....

Everyone is guilty of it!

Posted

I think both genders are guilty of that. There's nothing more off putting on a dating site than photos of a man having a drink in one hand and a female on the other side.

Wasn't there JUST a thread on here about some guy being livid that a girl friend of his cropped him out of a picture that she made into her FB profile pic?

Damned if you crop 'em, damned if you leave 'em.

Not that it's a BIG deal or anything, but is that really the same thing? Actually, it's just as weird, just a different situation.

In one case, you're LOOKING for a guy but you've got pictures of you with other men - potential dates will not know who they are and where they stand with you, and most people will allow you to have whatever photos up, they simply won't contact you for whatever reason they may have.

You might even be more likely to attract a player who thinks you're playing the same game, then again I don't know how a player thinks.. :p

In the guy's case, it doesn't sound that bad in itself, but it sounds like we might not be hearing his whole story.. It'd be lame if the girlfriend has no other pictures of them together or crops him out of their other photos, I figure I can see why he'd be mad and confused then.

Can you tell what she looks like from the photo? If so, what's the problem? Guys exist. Sometimes they get in front of the camera lens.

What I find disturbing are those guys who put up pictures with them and nieces, babies, etc. There are all kinds of freaks and creeps on these sites. I really should report those pictures.

I see the same thing in a lot of men's profile pics. Usually standing with an arm around some young sexy gal and a beer in the other hand, cheeky smile.. what are we suppose to think? Friend, sister, cousin, or the gal you went home with that night?

I think if people took the time to LABEL their pics, it might remove some of the mystery and doubt of a big percentage of them anyway. Especially with the older men/women who often post pics standing with an adult child, or even a sibling at a reunion or something, that can be mistaken for a partner.

While I agree with you on the whole surrounded by women thing, if the guy is just looking to score, those kind of pictures are the way to get the attention of the type of woman that knowingly dates player types.

Those guys are not looking for a relationship. Their looking for women that want a guy because they see other women want him.

Well...yeah. Then they can wonder why they're not getting results. We've seen the topics on guys doing that. Women should also know better.

It's all marketing, and a pic of person with a member of the opposite sex doesn't sell very well on a dating site.

Maybe. I don't have a big issue with it. I'm not so insecure as to forbid my girlfriend to have male friends - actually I would expect it - so I don't immediately go clicking to the next profile if a woman is in a photo with a man. The exact pose/posture might be cause for concern, though, if they looked like a couple rather than like friends.

I thought this was going to be about that stupid "duck face" or "kissy face" chicks do in every single picture...it looks stupid. Stop doing it. LOL

where did that stupid look come from?

a lot of people post pictures up with other "attractive" people b/c it makes them look more attractive. i'm not saying i do it, or agree with it, but it's reality. a girl might post up pics with guys they perceive as good looking to send out the message that they are high value and sought after.

I suppose when men stop being friends with women?

That could be her gay best friend, dude!

Posted

I wish they'd stop posting pics of themselves hanging on their female buddies in bars. It makes me want to take them on dates to AA!

Also, I don't want to see pics of their dogs (and believe me I've dated some women who were real dogs)... unless of course the woman is a shape-shifter who can turn herself into a small, annoying dog.

And what's with snapping photos of themselves in the mirror with a smart phone---and these women aren't even that bad looking??? Even a hermit like me can always ask a friend or a neighbor to take a pic of me with my camera!
