In the last couple days I have had 2 different men that I have dated in the past send me text pics of themselves with other women. I have no idea what the deal is, but I think it's really rude. Both have started the conversation, asking me how I'm doing and just normal chit chat. Then, bam... look at me and this girl. I replied to both by saying, good for you... have fun. And the convos ended there.

WTF?! Has anyone else had this happen before?

How do you know the other women weren't family members? I sent pictures of myself to men with my brother. Even if they weren't..what are you upset about? That there were women before you? If the are sending you pictures of them at clubs with barely dressed women, yeah that's not cool. But if they are just normal, non sexual pictures, I don't understand why you would be pissed off.

not text, but my ex made a point of putting up pics of his new gf on facebook whilst claiming he wanted to get back with me....call me evil but she's no looker so i was mildly amused if nothing else :D

No, I've not had that happen before. I don't think it's the best move unless they explain that it's a family member but anyway, they're out of the picture now so let's move on, right?

They were both sexual pics. One of them said, Hey wanna see a cool pic of me (mind you this is a 35 yr old man), He had just sent me a pic of him and his son, so I said "sure". He then sent me a picture of himself literally "doing" another chick and underneath it, he wrote "ex gf".

The other one said, "I was thinking about you and if we really got to know each other we might just fall in love" And I said, Oh, so I've been on your mind lately :)? And he said "Yes, until this happened... Pic of a chick kissing him" and then said, "but I still think about your fine ass."

I've never had this happen until this week... and then twice in a row. Are men becoming bigger jerks or what?

You know how to pick them. :D

Okay. Not pleasant. Moving on...

As politically incorrect as this is, in simple terms, people seem to be becoming bigger jerks. I think a lot of it has to do with the internet, socializing through the internet and having things like Facebook which promote self love and an 'it's all about me" mentality. Along with internet porn which has changed generations of men within their in ability to relate to women. And internet dating sites, where you get offered so many options you can keep running throuh them like hot potatoes. Although I don't think this "jerk" thing is just particular to men, even though as a woman you will experience more jerkish men if you are trying to find someone to date. I think both men and women are becoming more jerk like. I feel bad for kids growing up now and am happy I didn't have to survive he digital/internet age that they do now.

With that said, there ARE good men out there. And you need to become better at identifying them. Cut off any contact with these two men you described. Sending an intimate picture of him with another woman to you is disturbing. Talking how he could fall in love with you after sending such a picture is pyschotic. Sending a picture of his son as easily as sending you a picture of him having sex with another woman is horrific. This is NOT normal behavior and you can gaurentee that if you start something up with this man, become intimate with him, that down the road, he could very well be sending pictures of you to other people.

That guy is a total *facepalm*

I think problem is porn and "fratire" have given guys the wrong impressions on how to handle dating.

If this guy were to get irked as to why 26.2 got offended, then he should be asked how he would feel if 26.2 sent him pics of her with an ex, or some guy who's flirting with him.

what is "fratire"?

what is "fratire"?

It's a term made up for the kinds of stuff Tucker Max does. The stories or "folklore" of guys who basically live like stereotypical "frat boys" long after college. I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell are many such stories that really make life look like the ideal for men is to stay single, bang anything hot that can be manipulated into bed, get drunk all the time, etc.

The "bro" thing I also think came from this logic. The Jersey Shore guys more or less also follow into this.

My point though is that I believe many guys simply think this behavior "ok" because they've seen it glorified now in the media. I actually think it's all come as an outlash to the "pussification" much of the male gender has been accused of, only in reverse.

A generation of guys, many raised by single moms, were growing up into being doormat nice guys because they had no strong male role. Now it's gone in a strange reversal that many of these males grow up believing men are supposed to be like the JS douchebags, "bros", Tucker Max, male porn stars, etc.

I'm not saying this is the only explanation, but it's amazing how many guys I've seen now who literally want to emulate that lifestyle.

Some men believe that women want what other women have so they are sort of applying this concept here. They are showing that other women approve.

I agree with this as well. There is a definite backlash in effect these days when it comes to men and how they deal with women.

Sounds like some of your relationships have ended less than pleasantly & a few guys are taking delight in rubbing your nose in the fact that they replaced you with what they think are better looking women. Just block their numbers & move on.

You're not saying it's the only explanation but the explanation you went right to is it being women's fault and it's the only explanation you could come up with. In this case, single mothers. I'm sick of women being blamed for all of men's problems. Whether it's single mothers or younger women...when do men take responsibility for their behavior? When do we address the contribution these men's father's made themselves? When do we ask men to take responsibility for how *they* turn out instead of using anit-female words like "pussification". Which ironically in it's attempt to explain how men "are", twice puts women down. First through "p*ssy" which isn't the most complimentary word and second through insinuating female like qualities are to be shunned and embarressing.

You also seem to forget how many men have indulgent parents whether they are divorced or not, that give them everyhing they want to the point that these guys stay home sitting on their butts playing video games and down loading porn..choices these boys have made themselves. You also forget about all the fathers out there that might be phyiscally there but aren't teaching their son's the right way to treat women becaus they might now know themselves. Implying that the only reason men are the way they are because of everything women did is really getting old on this board.

In many cases the fathers are not around at all since many believe they are just useless sperm donors. Push fathers out of the family and what do people expect to happen?

Also when you look at the way many women these days are notorious for saying one thing and doing another many men have decided to say the hell with it and do what makes us happy. We figure that having other women is attractive so we do it.

Posted

If a father isn't around HE made that choice not to be around. Very few cases have court mandated papers that force fathers to not see their children.

Stop blaming women alone for the men, men become. Recongnize that there are three people in that situation that need to take responsibility. The mother, the father and the male child in the situation we are talking about. Further, once boys grown into men, they need to take responsiblity for themselves instead of blaming their parents for all their hardships and for all the reasons they turn out how they do.

You justify poor male behavior over and over Woogle. And you do it by figurtively stepping on women's heads and saying they deserve it somehow.
