hellotheretoday Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Hi everyone, can someone explain the purpose of no contact, why its a good idea, and what it achieves. If my ex texts me I guess I should not answer, however will it do any good? We broke up just over a week ago, because I questioned him about why he had had a twenty year old lad at his house, and he didn't tell me about this person. I wanted to know why he kept it a secret. (He is 45). Although I explained about how I felt when he band to see me, and he could see my point, he just got up and left- without any explanation or anything. I have also had a very sad family loss which I told him about, and he has given no support or help, just a text message. Since this I've heard nothing from him, but did get a text to say "hope you're ok". I didn't answer. I don't intend to answer because I'm very annoyed and hurt by his actions. Your thoughts or opinions are appreciated. I would like to go no contact, but not very sure how to do it or what happens.
