It isn't a "line" btw. Asking someone directly to do something in a plain way without concealed intent is not a line. I think it works more than expected because it conveys a devil may care attitude, takes ballz, while simultaneously playing on womens' "too cool for school" impulses as in "all the cool kids are doing it, don't be the prude who misses out."

We are not all like that though. Before the show came to town it was more of a surfer and boating kind of atmosphere.
