I moved in with my boyfriend today and I am so exhausted I can barely see straight. But this has been one of the nicest days so far in our relationship.

My boyfriend has been treating me moving in like the best thing. He told me this morning he had everything he ever wanted - a good career, a great apartment, his motorcycle, and me (not necessarily in that order). His joyful outburst was quite moving, considering he's not a morning person.

And then as I unpacked, he ran these little errands for me. Part of it was because he wanted an excuse to ride his motorcycle, but also for me. While that went on, I drew a hot bath. He made me dinner and we watched Democracy Now and the Daily Show. We cuddled on the sofa just like we'd do on any normal date.

And now he's playing Team Fortress 2 and I hear him in his office. It's good he has a hobby like that because I'm beyond tired. And I need a little time for myself.

My only unexpected complaint about the move is I'm completely disoriented. I lose things quickly and don't have a routine. I'm running around in circles in the apartment, but it's fun too. I'm exploring the concept that his place is now our place.

I have nothing dramatic to report, but I've been posting on LS about this relationship from day one. I wanted to share. :)

Congrats, Cee!!

Im happy for you two.

Ive been following your threads about this because my boyfriend and I have talked a lot about moving in together this coming spring.... and sometimes I get reeeeeeeeally anxious about it (although I have absolutely no reason to be) but most of the time, I simply cant wait for us to start a life together.

Your hesitance initially was eerily similar to mine, I think I may have even responded to a few posts as such...

I hope than if/when our day comes, its as lovely as yours

Sounds great.

I play Team Fortress 2 also, if he needs an LS buddy.

Fortunate guy. I don't think I'd quite be playing video games at that particular time though.;) Have a joyful time.

The correct order is his motorcycle first, then everything else. :p

See! Even on moving-in day he needs to go and ride his bike!

Anyway, congratulations. :)

Haha, we had an afternoon interlude already. I might have been up for a second round, but I was deranged from exhaustion by 8 pm. I was glad he chose to give me some space.

I'm happy to report I had my first solid sleep in over a week. I went to bed at 10 pm and slept until 8 am. Finally, I didn't wake up at 4 am worrying about my job and move. I needed that so badly. Welikeincrowds brought up an interesting point about insomnia that it's disruptive. My boyfriend has it too so we are both tolerant of it. (Or at least for now we are)

I had no idea how great it would be to sleep with my man AND my own pillows. I love those pillows, almost as much as my boyfriend.

Now that I've moved in, my boyfriend will be going out of town tomorrow for a long weekend. He said that I could enjoy the apartment by myself. I said that I'll probably miss him badly because everywhere I look, there are reminders of him. But it'll be good to putter around the space and get to know it better.

You have that covered too. You won't be alone. ;) You and yourself with have the place to your selves. :)

I love the encouraging words. It is a brave new venture, mostly around planting my flag in his cluttered apartment. I moved my stuff in and it was hardly noticeable. I have been losing my things, so I am trying to have Cee territory among the sea of his stuff.

Art, you nailed it. The first thing I did was claim the drawer space. He didn't complain when I took his stuff out of drawers and left them on the bed. Fortunately this 2BR is teeming with closets (5 of them), so it's cute that we have his and hers closets.

Yes, Frisky, me with my multiple selves will be having a party this weekend, along with late night sexytime. :p
