toastboy Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Ok so I met a nice girl online, We've had a couple of dates and have also met up a couple of times in none date circumstances. I've not really been in this situation before, my ex's have always been friends first so I've never really dated! I'm supposed to be meeting up with her again tomorrow but I don't know what to do. She expects me to do all the asking and deciding what we do but I'm struggling to think of somewhere nice to take her! It's made harder that we live in a relatively small area where there's no so much to do! So I'm looking for some inspiration, where have you been on interesting dates?
smudge21 Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 What are her hobbies and interests? Surely from there you can work out something to do. Just remember though, there's two people here, so it shouldn't just be up to you to chose the dates. Why not suggest that she pick the date location next time - obviously do it in a nice way.
Author toastboy Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 She's into a lot of dancing and things like that but it's not exactly something I can do and don't think I'm ready to completely embarrass myself just yet. Likewise my biggest hobby is climbing and although she has said she's willing to try anything I already know it's not going to be her cup of tea. I will take her climbing at some point but no so sure it's a good idea just yet. I did kind of try and get her to provide date input but she didn't seem keen to decide upon locations!
grkBoy Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Take her out for dinner and dancing. Get over the insecurities. The only people who make fun of guys dancing are the SINGLE men who sit on the side and have only each other. If you ever saw Young Guns, there was a scene where they went to a New Years Eve festival. Billy the Kid was dancing with the ladies and his buddies were on the side drinking and making fun of him. Then one realized he's out there with a pretty lady while the three of them are sitting there alone. Reality check. It doesn't have to be a big club...try a jazz club or R&B club. Dress nice. Slow dancing. Romantic. She'll give you an A for being classy and creative.
