irc333 Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Interesting, I started talking to a woman on a dating site (yeah, actually got a response, lol), and she said the reason she's been on the site for so long is because even though she's got a boyfriend, she still likes to stick around for the friendships she's made on the dating site. Isn't that what Facebook is for? LOL I questioned her loyalty to her boyfriend in regards to that, thought it was pretty sad. 1. If you're using a dating site ad your only means to make friends, pretty sad. 2. If you're still on a dating site, and you are in a relationship, definitely sad.
oaks Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I agree that if you're in a relationship you should move those other 'friendships' to other media (email, facebook, write a letter etc) rather than use a dating site for that. Why don't you start a thread called "Profiles I don't like."

carhill Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Another question to ask is why you would engage her if she's already in a relationship and obviously using a dating site in a way which you find incompatible, even to share those perspectives with her. Obviously, she's using the site to do more than 'keep up with friends' if she's contacting a man previously unknown to her. 'I'm in a relationship and use Match to make friends with men' Delete.
