irc333
Okay, I have to say, I thought I had seen them ALL, there was this woman in my area that I was considering emailing. Until she put a recent "Update" in her profile that looked QUITE disturbing She mentioned, she can't stand a man who cries.....except perhaps a death in the family, there is no excuse, she states "How can you be a rock for me, if you crumble out of stress?" And she doesn't like to cuddle when she's in bed, she thinks men who need to "cuddle" as a means of falling a sleep have "Mommy" issues. WTF??
oaks
She probably has "daddy issues".
denise_xo
Why do you bother obsessing about all these dating profiles that you don't like anyway?
Thierro
I went on a date with a girl for the second time yesterday. We went to see the Lion King. It was during the day, so there weren't a lot of people, just some kids. I couldn't help myself but cry when Mufasa died. Last time I cried over a film was during Wall-E. That stuff is hardcore.. It didn't change the way she felt about me. Edited October 21, 2011 by Thierro

My dad is the same way, and you wouldn't call my dad a wimp; he's a very rough guy, but he cries when watching movies, even the Lion King
Ascension
In my opinion, a man shouldn't cry unless it's something like a death. That's just the image of what a man should be. Of course, this rule isn't in concrete. As for the cuddling thing, I'll take it one step further; I'd be cool if I had my own bed. Makes sleep much easier. Not saying I'm against sleeping in the same bed or cuddling. Her thinking is messed up though, the "mommy issues". Who does she think she is, Dr. Phil? All preference. Just watch it at home with a blanket and some popcorn. I watched it without the 3d glasses after 10 minutes or so. My date did too, but i'm not sure if she disliked it or knew I wanted to be intimate with her. Go for it when they show it in 2d. The big screen and surround sound is obviously a big plus. I love when a man can show his sensitive side and can cry. I had one boyfriend that would cry from time to time and it was one of the things I loved about him. And you are supposed to be EACH OTHERS rock, not just a rock for HER. Selfish girl. As for cuddling, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
grkBoy
Meh...one women who doesn't like cuddling. No biggie. If one saw loads of women suddenly become anti-cuddling, then I'd take notice. I'd laugh if we saw a plethora of women suddenly just want a quick bang and then told their men to "leave them alone" so they could watch TV afterwards. "Stoooop...get off of me. I'm trying to watch Sex and the City. Go make me a sandwich."
Disenchantedly Yours
I love cuddling! And I think non-sexual touch from your man is very important in a relationship. Us girls need to know that he wants to touch us even when he isn't going to get laid.

LOL Awww thanks. That's Miloh my Cocker Spaniel. I haven't watched Marley and Me because I know I would bawl my eyes out. I like tear jerkers, but that one would probably really get to me. She probably grew up in a house where there was very little love and affection shown towards family members. She was obviously given the impression from her parents that men have to be strong at all times and not show emotion. She was probably never or seldom hugged and so she's built up this impression that that is what is normal, and people that are the more cuddly types are clingy and needy. I kind of feel sorry for the woman if she grew up in a house like that where family members were taught to stiffle their feelings and avoid physical affection.
Ruby Slippers
That woman sounds very icy and unappealing. Once we settle in for snoozing, I like the guy to be wrapped around me like a down coat. I have never met a man who had any problem accommodating this desire.

I love cuddles. My BIL's family is very affectionate but he is the opposite, he avoids hugging people as much as possible. Sometimes it can come down to the person and really, this chick just sounds judgemental and pretty nasty.
Woggle
Chances are she has daddy issues and that is why she can't stand affection from men.
Feelin Frisky
I'd give her latitiude on the crying issue but the other thing about "cuddling" shows a likely lack of love to her from her parents and thus a hard-edge sort of right-wing view of physicality. I think guys make a big mistake sometimes if they say they like to cuddle--they should just do it and let the woman figure out and if they have to say it, like on a profile, they should pick a more masculine way of expressing holding and being close with a woman. It does sound kinda ghey to say "I like to cuddle". Well, isn't that just sweet. (Truth it, I absolutely love it.)
ShannonMI
I'm a dude and I was just mocking this thread lol. Are you really? I thought you were a chick. From all those tiny penis jokes from the other day. Didn't think a guy would be cracking jokes like that. Hahahahahahaha that's too funny:laugh:

One time we were watching some Disney/Pixar flick (we were hoping his son would join us in watching). At the end, there was a sentimental part, and my guy was starting to cry! I dare not rent the Lion King then! Edited to add: Hahah you were just mocking in this thread. But my story is true!
