filmbuffy Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 It has been almost 3 months since my girlfriend suddenly broke up with me. She met someone else and left me to be with this person.... Yesterday she texted me that she missed her friend and wants to get together. What do I do here? There isn't a single day that goes by that I don't think about this girl..... even though she treated me like complete dung and tossed me away like a day old bagel, I still find I am in love with her! I don't know which is harder, not talking/seeing her or talking/seeing her!!! Both are challenges! I wish my head and heart would get on the same page already!

I know how hard it is and I really feel your pain. But she just wants best of both worlds. She has no romantic feelings for you but you do for her.Imagine hanging out with her knowing she has a boyfriend. You are just a friend . She has many friends. I know this is harsh but it is the reality. You owe it to yourself to march forward and discover a new you. You can do it ! do not take those breadcrumbs , she is being selfish. It is your time to become selfish now. I am sorry I wish things would work out the way you wanted , I wish she would want to work on it with you and you will be happy together. I really do. I wish that for all dumpees on this site that they will no longer suffer xxx
TheDovic Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 She wants the best of both worlds dude. She wants her new guy and to have her "friend!" But you are not just her friend, plus no real friend would ditch you for someone else! If you go be her friend that's all you'll ever be because you will come across as weak (and she will not be attracted to this). More importantly you will set your healing back massively and will continue to feel like this for longer than you need to. Do you really want to keep feeling this way?
Chi townD Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Yep! The others are right. Read what you wrote. She "misses her FRIEND". So, did you get in a relationship with her, fell in love with her just to ultimately become only her friend? Reading on it says she treated you like dung and tossed you aside. She made a choice to have you out of her life, she thought that this guy is better than you (which, don't believe it because if he WAS better than you then why the hell is she contacting you), so give her what she wanted you out of her life. Ignore her, heal and move on.

Tell her what you want, if she does not agree go NC again
