Does anyone who use OkCupid notice this? Let's of the extremely hot girls put "Christian and serious about it" on their "religion" tab on their profile, but these girls are wearing mini-skirts and cocktail dresses in nightclubs in their photos.

Is this a trick or something? A deterrent against guys who're looking for an easy hookup or something?

Perhaps they're Christian and serious about it? :lmao:

The question you ask is absurd...like someone's religion is tied to whether or not they wear miniskirts!

They have to be serious about it if they are to repent for all the abortions they got in their teens.

This has to be a siggy worthy quote.

Typical American chicks from "Christian" familes being hypocrites. They're the first with their tops off and tonguing each other's pussies in "Girls Gone Wild" videos. Amen.

Are you complaining? :lmao:

Sorta. They could knock off the hypocrisy--"were, real serious about our Christianity (except on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and most of Sundays)".

Bunch of angry, bitter atheists in this thread. Just like all the other threads on the internet.

Faith has value. Religion has value. I don't know these girls personally or what the individual reason is behind their statement, but I would assume that it is indeed generally code for "I won't just spread my legs for you." Whether they are waiting till marriage, or just waiting until they don't feel like sluts to do it, it would depend on the person.

I wouldn't read too much negative into the statement. Maybe you should do what some other guy did, make a fake female profile with a cute pic and post it on that site. In a day you'll have a giant pile of responses, many from vapid guys just looking to use you for sex. Wouldn't YOU want to deter those guys any way you could? Seems like a perfectly valid method to try to do that.

Why does it have to be anything other than that which it appears? What's wrong being seriously religious and wanting to date?

No. It. Doesn't.

Religion is the worst thing that is happening to humanity in this current day and age. Baseless intolerable ignorance has no place in society.

Religion is "happening" apparently?

Religion has been around for thousands of years. What's "happening" to humanity right now is the general erosion of all moral and ethical principles.

But, bottom line -- atheists never EVER listen. Thus, you are not worth talking to. I'm just popping in to tell you how wrong you are. I hope that feeds your constant bitterness, cause that's all you deserve for your life choice.

Maybe you have a Christain fetish that makes the Christain girls appear hotter then they are. :)

What do you care, anyway? If you don't want to date serious Christian girls, be glad they outed themselves on their profiles, regardless of the lengths of their skirts.

And there's at least one over-reaching angry "believer" who would rather alientate real people over things no one can know rather than bond with others over the things we CAN know. Perhaps the net is not the place for you.

Haha, reminds me of a guy that I knew that was seperated from his wife, having sex with another woman, and had a gambling problem but at the age of 30. Yet he never had a drink in his life because it's a sin and he's christian and serious about it. LOL :lmao:

Except nothing mentioned about the girls in question has proven immoral or un-christian behavior. Belief in Jesus doesn't mean you can't wear attractive clothes or go to nightclubs. Although IMO it would mean you probably wouldn't appreciate the overall atmosphere and some of the kinds of people AT the nightclub.

You don't HAVE to get DRUNK at a bar, nor do you have to act in a lewd manner or hookup for sex. I go there to sing karaoke and eat onion rings. However, if posting a photo of myself, it probably wouldn't be of me at a nightclub...

There's nothing against mini skirts or cocktail dresses in the Bible. Christian girls are allowed to wear whatever they want.

But it's not their clothes that you're objecting to, is it? You think their clothes reveal something about their character. Like, if a girl is wearing a mini skirt, then she must be promiscuous. Well, you're wrong.

Here's a good example. Adriana Lima is a devout Catholic. Yes, this Adriana Lima: http://www.bollywoodblend.com/2011/06/23/adriana-lima-hot-photoshoot/. The Victoria's Secret model. Hypocritical? Maybe not. She was a virgin until she got married at age 27. You would never guess it, looking at her pictures. She certainly doesn't dress like someone who's opposed to premarital sex, does she?

I couldn't care less if people believed in a spaghettimonster, the existence of smurfs or 2000 year old fairy tales, as long as they don't bother me with it. The problem is religious people tend to have a monopoly of the truth and therefor are impossible to debate with, which is a minor annoyance in day to day life but becomes a real problem when they get in a position of power and can decide what other people are allowed and not allowed to do.

Me thinks it means if you like it then you better put a ring on it?

Some people think if they are a good christian and go to church they don't actually have to be decent person.

Posted

I don't see why this turned into an atheist vs. Christian debate.

I used to be Christian and it even bothered me then. There's a lot of people who don't practice what they preach, and a lot of girls are easy despite the fact that they're religious.

Religious or non religious, I don't approve of easy women, I just think it's funny when they also want to act pious.

I agree with you when you say you don't have to drink or get drunk while at a bar. When I'm trying to lean out for summer, I've have cut drinking from my diet and just have water at the bars.

I guess my point about the guy was that he was hard core into religion and was having sex with anothe woman while married (adultry). He had a gambling problem which are both "sins" yet would get on me about how I shouldn't drink b/c it was a sin... I just didn't understand where he was coming from if I enjoyed a glass of wine now and then and yet he can justify not drinking b/c it was a sin when if fact he was also commiting sins but in different ways.

Except by naming "spaghetti monster" you reveal that you are another hateful, condescending atheist who equates all religious ideas of god and a universal creator to the most ridiculous thing atheists made up, for the sole purpose of mocking people.

the existence of smurfs or 2000 year old fairy tales

And the mockery continues.

I couldn't care less if any outspoken atheists continued breathing. And I mean that sincerely, it's from the heart. I think we're even now. By the way, I'm not religious so good luck painting that on a religion. Simply put -- I'm just better than you.

as long as they don't bother me with it.

Like you infest threads to inflict your atheism on people? "OHH they brought up religion in this thread HAHAHA it's time to troll!! Fellow atheists, unite! Let's mock these suckers!" Truly pathetic.

The problem is religious people tend to have a monopoly of the truth and therefor are impossible to debate with

As opposed to people who begin their post by utterly mocking anyone of faith, in the worst way possible? Give up.

And that guy was an idiot and a hypocrite. The problem comes in when you start assuming the girls mentioned in the OP must be idiots and hypocrites because they claim religion while being in a bar. That was what I had issue with.
