Because women would abuse it, and just ban unattractive men from viewing their profile.

Unattractive doesn't = creepy.

You really don't know what you're talking about...

Then please enlighten me.

I don't believe online dating is in any way safer. There are so many freaks and creeps online and it's not comforting seeing them visit your profile over and over again. Really, I don't understand why they don't have a feature that allows you to block unwelcomed visitors.

You could try Plenty of Fish where they don't bother telling you about repeat visits to your profile. Problem solved. (Although they've just added a new feature, that you have to pay for, that will reveal the time of the most recent visit.)

But, seriously, you're discomforted by having someone view your profile over and over? Really? Maybe online dating isn't for you.

It's amazing how people just project their own insecurities on whatever you say. I have not mentioned anything about looks in my post, but off they go...

I asked you for that, and you just ignored my post.

I don't think women on- or off-line think they have power.

The person with power is the one who cares the least.

The women you're interacting with simply care less about your interaction than you do, probably for a myriad of different reasons.

You chose to make these assumptions, so deal with them on your own.

Exactly. Which in effect means women do have the power over men in the romantic life.

You say that as though men ALWAYS care more. Not so at all.

Sometimes the female holds the power, if she happens to be the one who cares less. And sometimes it's the male who holds the power, if he happens to be the one who cares less. It depends on the two people involved.

So basically, you were talking nonsense?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

QG, Is it possible that what you think is a "good conversation" isn't necessarily what the the girl you're corresponding with thinks is a good conversation?

If you project the same kind of negativity when interacting with women online that you do here, those conversations may not be going as well as you think they are.

Just food for thought. I get turned off immediately in the early stages of correspondence if there is a hint of negativity in our exchanges.
