justagirrl Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 (edited) So, I was playing w/ my two new baby kittens...and they're obsessed with this toy, its feathers connected to a long stick. They were crazyyyy about this toy for the first few days...but I noticed a change: 1. I noticed that when I put it right in front of them so it's easy to get...they do not respond...what-so-ever. Like, they're completely bored because they know it's right there and they can have it whenever they want. 2. Then, comes the challenge. When I held it further away, or even hid it...that's when they reacted. "Where did it go?! I have to find it!" ..... Think about it. Makes perfect sense when it comes to "dating" as well. When I held it further away, or even hid it...that's when they reacted. "Where did it go?! I have to find it!" ..... Think about it. Makes perfect sense when it comes to "dating" as well. Except there's a problem with acting like a challenge. For example, I generally don't immediately assume a woman would play games (if I don't know her). So if I smell disinterest, then I'd back off, as I don't want to end up in an asymmetrical relationship. So suppose she plays hard to get, while she's genuinely interested, then she can have me thinking she's not interested and thus she'd cause me to move on. Which is the opposite result of what she was going for. That's why I think it's best not to play games. I tend to completely misinterpret those anyway. It would either only confuse me or make me move on. And in the case I do see through that she's playing games, then that could be seen as a red flag (depending on the context).
