I used to come on this site to pass the time and read others people's stories to see if there was a chance she might come back. As time went on I started feeling better. A lot better. I got to the point where I didn't even really care much anymore. Ex and I were together 6 years. Ok so a little bit about our breakup. We broke up 2 years ago I tried everything to get her back and after 3 months after me trying everything(never begging tho) She finally came back only after I met a new girl. I asked why and she told me I was the love of her life and her soulmate and you just don't let your soulmate get away. I also asked her if I didn't pursue her if she would have come back on her own. She said no you know how stubborn I am I said really? you would have just let me go. she said yes I think so. Ok fastforeward 2 years later she dumped me again. All about money if any of you followed my story. I always went nc and she always contacted me about once a month. She would always ask if I was getting serious with anyone I always said no so she would go another month with nothing. Ok so 2 weeks ago she asked me to meet her for coffee. Asked if I was seeing anyone I said yes. She asked if I liked her I said yes. her face dropped. She looked like she saw a ghost. Now over the past 2 weeks she has been contacting me about every 2 days. She is saying cute little things which is new. She texted me goooooood moooorrrrniiinnggg!! Which blew me away cause she has never texted me in the morning. Another time she asked if we could talk so we talked about nothing much but she said how is your girlfriend? in a really sarcastic way. Then she texted me Hey you! which is new too. usually its just hi. Just tons and tons of little cute things. During another phone conversation she asked when she could see me she wanted to give me the money she owed me. She also has been doing a lot and I mean a lot of bragging about how great her life is and how happy she is. I don't know if I even want her back at this point and I definitely won't ask for her back. I guess my question is. Doesn't it almost sound like she is having second thoughts. Oh and she actually said you better be careful or I might regret my decision to break up with you. Is this just breadcrumbs?
nunyanunya Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Honestly she just doesn't seem to be ready to be in the same place as you. She's not aware enough yet to see it, but you have great qualities (fact!) that she misses, but still needs other things that she feels you can't give her. I don't think its second thoughts, its probably not that defined. Its probably more gray area like subconsciously "lets see how far I can push this, maybe he'll be a surrogate boyfriend until I find what I'm looking for" if she's in a dry spell. If she doesn't know why you have reason to run and hasn't bothered to allay any of those fears then she still has growing up to do and you should drop it like its hot. Go give this new girl your full attention and don't respond to the ex. Oh and she clearly doesn't realize how manipulative it can be for an ex to tell the person they've dumped that they "just might regret dumping you after all" What the ****.

Here is a little update. A while back I went on one of those how to get your ex back websites and it said do things like a very limited contact. Its said send her a link to a website she might like. Which I did it also said wait a day or 2 before getting back to her if she contacts you. I usually just waited till later that night. So she sends me a link to a website saying the same exact thing I said to her when I sent her one. she said hey there I came across this and thought you would like it. So I contacted her the next day saying thank you it was very interesting. I also asked her a few questions. stuff like how are you? any plans for the weekend? very open ended questions where she could easily respond. she waited 2 days to get back to me. LOL she said sorry I didn't respond how are you all that stuff. I still haven't responded to her. I am done with her games. LOL I thought we could be friends but I don't think that is possible. I think she is either breaking my balls or came across the same get your ex back website. lol
