When you're dating someone, when do you feel ready to finally take it to the next level, to ask them "do you want to be my gf/bf"? what is it you look for in someone you're dating that would make you feel they are someone you want as a partner?

I think that saying is related to getting married rather than entering a relationship. Are you currently in the situation of deciding whether to go forward or not? You might get different answers from people that might or might not apply depending on your circumstances and your wants and needs. For example, for some people it's not a conscious decision, they just end up spending a lot of time together and before they know it they have romantic feelings and already feel that they are in a relationship without having to say the words.

Well I just wanted other people's opinions on this topic, but yes I am. I actually already feel emotionally ready for the guy I am dating to become my boyfriend, but am wondering what kind of things it is in me that would make him want me to become his girlfriend.

Yes I know this and of course I will ask him so I know what it is HE likes about me. But I know that men can vary in what they look for in a girlfriend and I just want to know what are some common traits they look for in a girlfriend. But also this thread isn't directed at just men it's directed at women too.
