AHardDaysNight Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Most likely a sign of control issues. I check out Facebook's of people that my friends know, out of curiousity. But if I was stalking one person, that would be another thing.
january2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Could be one of those, a mixture or all three or none of them. If you're being stalked and it makes you uncomfortable or fearful for your safety, you owe it to your sanity and wellbeing to take legal steps to put a stop to it.

I am being blog stalked by a girl that passive agressively rejected me... so curious why she would have 248 hits in a month and a half on my blog when I hardly ever update it and dont talk about her. Not in any danger, at least not for the moment.
january2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Not in any danger, at least not for the moment. I think it's at the level of 'keep an eye on it'. Otherwise, is there a way that you can change your settings to make it private and therefore not give her any fodder at all?

I tried, in order to do that I have to remove the blog and restart one with a master account and lock the sub account with a password or can I submit private blogs but then my friends cant have access to it either, since its a blog it can be viewed annonymously. You can only block registered users.
january2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 You could migrate your friends to a new blog that's password protected. It seems a shame to not be able to post what you want to. Otherwise, it seems tempting to let the blog die and find another way to keep in touch with your friends. She may well get bored when there's not been an update for a year or two.
Art_Critic Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I think it's at the level of 'keep an eye on it'. I'd agree but would also like to throw out that having a public blog and someone visiting it doesn't really constitute stalking... Now if they create usernames and post hating angry stuff.. that would be different.. You are aware that the internet is basically a public forum ? unless passworded anybody can go there. It is for this very reason that you should be careful about what info you give out there.. If I were you.. I would shut down that blog and create a new one.. Are you sure that the IP address visiting your blog really isn't a spider spidering your page instead of a person..

I am sure I know who it is, infact 100% positive. I am very aware that the internet is public and I know I can change things but no harm or foul play has come from it, I just wanted to know what would be the point in being my #1 fan when I gave her more then the time of day yet she vanished out of the blue.
january2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 doesn't really constitute stalking... My read on it is that the OP considers it excessive given the time frame, that she's not mentioned on the blog, he rarely updates and they have 'history'.
Art_Critic Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Maybe she has your blog as her homepage and every time she starts her browser it hits your page It might be as simple as she has it bookmarked and starts her day by just checking to see if you wrote something or as complex as she is stalking you.

I did a search and I got blog/cyber stalking. I also think stalking is to harsh a word but w/e. Cannot set book marks or homepage options at work.
Mrlonelyone Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 If looking at someone's blog is stalking then I must have 100,000s of stalkers. My scientific blog gets picked up by Google news and has for some stories topped the news papers. Not to sound tooo bragggggyyy he he he. Seriously though I have actual cyber stalkers who mean me real Ill will. People who I POed with things I wrote on the internet. Men and women with a interest in me that they can't handel and so it can come out as aggression towards me. Folks have set up slanderous websites, and fake twitter accounts just to get attention to those cites. Made disparaging youtube video's. She'll get a life eventually and move on, let her look at how well you are doing without her.

AHardDaysNight Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I have a friend of a friend who had this happen to her. She blocked the girl who was harassing her, and reported her account to the site. 'Lo and behold, the girl was banned, and she gave up bothering her. Don't know if you want to go that route, though.
