futuregopher Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 How did I mess this one up? I met this girl saturday night at a campus bar. I got her number and actually was interested in talking and getting to know her more. So here is the conversation - Sunday 2pm me: hey its xxx, it was cool meeting you last night her: LoL [] nice to meet you too (I think the [] was an emoticon but my phone is old and it doesn't receive these) Monday 9pm me: hey would you want to meet up and get coffee or something later this week? her: sure 10 minutes later her: but don't you have midterms this week? me: no lol why do you? her: oh just wondering b/c a lot of ppl have them this week Thursday(today) at 12pm me: hey xxx location(icecream shop) at 8ish today? NO RESPONSE FROM HER. How did I mess this one up? My friends think it's because I "asked her out" one on one instead of meeting as a group hangout. Any thoughts? Thank you for the help!
DepressedinDenver Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I dont know. Girls are fickle. So who knows.
Xefyr Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Maybe she has a midterm today and that's why she mentioned them in her earlier message? Or she's just busy. Either way, it's too early for you to write it off yet. Also, giving a day or so advance notice (rather than 8 hours) would probably help next time
Author futuregopher Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Yes, that is true. I think 8 hours isn't enough lol. I doubt she would even text back today if at all.
Imageiko Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I would have texted a bit back and forth, then called a day or two later talked on the phone for a bit then asked her out. When I asked her out I'd pick a specific time and place for a meeting instead of being very vague initially.
