In our date, we went to catch a movie then later have dinner. We are still enjoying our normal conversation on travelling and food and at the same time having our dinner. In the midst of our dinner, he suddenly went silent on me and give me a critical look and refused to talk to me. I was puzzled with his sudden change in mood and attitude towards me. One moment, we are discussing happily about our travel destinations and suddenly, he just kept quiet and appeared unease and give me a rather disapproving look. I begun to think..did i say the wrong stuff or did the wrong things, no table manners?? or spill my food on him while eating and talking at the same time..or did i look awful while talking to him in the dinner.. I think hard and did not feel i have done anything amiss or out of the ordinary i just dont understand. After paying the bill, he appeared totally distracted and out of the place. I did him a favour, i asked him if he is planning to head back home and told him the directions leading to the railway station, and told him im taking a bus home. He nodded and i said good bye to him. Later i sms him, telling him i would appreciate it if he can tell me if he wants to end the meeting earlier or make a quick escape, theres no need to go silent on me.. he apologise..and called me but i didnt pick up his phone this is so bizzare. This is not my first net date/meeting. I know it when guys dont seem interested or into me, but at least they followed through the date and behaved respectfully and responded appropriately. In short, there was still a basic conversation not just a sudden dead silence.. can anyone tells me how come he behaved suddenly in this manner when the conversation was seemingly going well? skylarkjv Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Sounds like you should have answered his phone call and talked to him about it. From the information you gave, it doesn't sound like you did anything wrong.

Ajax Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hmmm... I'm not sure anyone but him can give you any insight into what was going on in his head. From what you've said, it doesn't sound like you did anything to cause this change in dynamic. It may have been anything from him remembering something that bothered him, or maybe his dinner started to disagree with him. It's happened to me before, though not on a date, when I started to get sick and had to get the heck out of there. If you like him I see no reason not to give him another chance. If you don't, you don't owe him anything more at this point. I do think he owes you an explanation though.

Maybe it dawned on him that you are really immature? Why send off a fiery text, ask a confrontational question and not give the person a chance to respond when he calls? Childish

The one person who could, you refused a call from, so unless you break through that barrier, you'll just have to live with not knowing.
