chubachoop Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 Here I was moping around thinking Ive lost 'the one' when I had an idea. This is what you do. You think about all the people youve been with, people youve liked throughout your life, what you look for in a partner. Then you clear your mind of all those people, your recent ex especcially and describe on paper your ideal partner. I had four headings; looks, personality, personality traits he definately won't have (things I find unattractive) and behaviours I definately won't tolerate. I wrote the ones which were important to me under each heading. Then I gave my ex boyfriend a point for each one he had and half a point for each one he nearly had and turned it into percentages. He didnt do any of the behaviours I def wont tolerate but he has 45% of the traits I find unattractive, he got 56% for looks and 60% for personality. How can I say Ive lost my perfect guy then?! You have to be really honest when doing this, and it made me feel lots better yeah Im still sad, but I feel somewhat free too to meet somebody whom Im more suited to
