I asked this NUT a fun type of question on the phone to get the conversation started. I asked........tell me something private about you that most people don't know?

My answer was.....I listen to madonna and own DVD's of Three's company.

So I figured that she would get the idea from my answer and would tell something about herself along those same lines.

This weirdo says................"I used to be married"

I hung up the phone and went to bed because I was stunned that a woman can be so stupid. Lol Anyone agree she proved she was a wacko?

No, I don't believe she is a whacko. I think you put her on the spot, she was probably nervous given it was the first conversation, and she told you something true and personal about herself.

You hung up on her?

That sort of makes you more of a whacko than her.

I mean, why were you guys talking? Were you friends? Was she a potential date? I don't think it's weird. She may have let on a little too fast, but what's the big deal? She was married? I feel like I'm missing something.

I met her on plenty of fish and we were having a 3rd conversation. So for her to say she was married before after i gave her an example of what to tell me I was just stunned. I didn't know that right now.

She was nervous and said whatever she could think of in response to your pop quiz. You're a ridiculous and impossible person to please. That's what I take away from your little anecdote.

She probably was nervous, and blurted out the first thing that came to her mind. Which was the wrong thing.

I know, that's like me being asked by a woman what do I like to do for fun and i say

" I love sucking buttcheeks" lol

Now that may not be a bad thing but it would way too early to say that to her.

I eat oatmeal just about everyday for breakfast..and not that instant junk that's over-processed and takes out most of the health benefits. The real stuff.

I digress. PhillyDude, what if she said "I use to be married..to John Ritter." :lmao: Would that have been good enough for you?

More seriously, I think you over-reacted. You seem to have been looking for a reason to disconnect from her. You put her on the spot. Her answer wasn't perfect but it doesn't signify "wacko". If I discarded every guy that gave me a wacky answer or comment, I'd be dateless.

DP3, I USED to be married, now I am not.

Feel free to put me on your ignore list for admitting that.

Afterall, I must have oatmeal in my head.

Only if you say it at the wrong time

What was the right response?

I like to turn up Neil Diamond and sing along and I miss John Denver?

I think that would have been my response.

Yeah something like that. Something fun and silly

You f*cked up in that situation. Better to admit it to yourself sooner rather than later.

Then you could have said "not exactly the stuff I was aiming for" and then laugh it off, but to hang up on her seems rather like a hurtful thing to do.

It seems that you asked a question that you didn't want a real answer to. Perhaps you should have asked her to tell you something funny or silly about herself.

I'm not sure why you think she has oatmeal in her head. She was being honest... at least she didn't say that she is still married!

You put her on the spot by asking a silly question. I would be completely turned off if someone asked me that because it's pointless and weird. I prefer information to be revealed naturally, not during a pop quiz.

Maybe no one knows she was married.

Shame on you for actually admitting that.

she has oatmeal in her head because I gave her an example of what to say by the answers I gave.

Wacko would be, "I killed my ex-boyfriends, and buried them in my back garden... by the way, hav e you tried any of those home-grown tomatoes I gave you?"

not admitting that she'd been married.

I was thinking gayish...

If you really think so negatively about her, then she dodged a bullet in my opinion.

Maybe she was nervous. Then again, maybe you've figured out you're not compatible because she didn't say something silly and sarcastic and that's the page you're on.

You're very naughty for just hanging up though. Very, very, naughty.

Wait a minute, what are you really trying to say?-lol Many guys watched Three's Company

I am afraid I have to differ your opinion. You mean to say you gave an example & now she should follow it blindly.
